MIAMI -- Dallas Cowboys starting fullback Deon Anderson was arrested in the early hours Tuesday morning on traffic warrants discovered by Addison, Texas, police who were called to a disturbance between Anderson and restaurant staff.

Anderson said he was trying to start his car when he exchanged words with a valet attendant and a security guard at the BlackFinn restaurant in Addison.

Anderson said he didn't use any profanity during the incident and declined further comment.

Addison police said they are still investigating. Cowboys officials said they are aware of the incident and are looking into it.

Anderson was transferred to an Irving jail at 5:21 a.m. and later posted bond at 7:20 a.m.

Anderson, 27, had just finished his third season with the Cowboys. He started 10 regular-season games and had no carries. Anderson finished with 12 tackles on special teams.
