heading into the playoffs, I have to give a huge shout-out to this man

he's a beast

he's been springing runs all season long

playing on special teams

and has seen no rewards, either from the fans, or the coaches (no runs, passes)

this dude has a fire that is contagious, and I love him jumping into the pile to help out a fellow Cowboy, when an opponent is trying to rough house them

dude is a mini-Colombo

propers, Cricket...propers

edit: he's also been a walking injured for much of the season

Really? I don't think he's anything special. Gets blown up a lot. Completely whiffs at times.

Didn't realize he was injured, though. Maybe that explains his less than spectacular play.

open your eyes man

I'm jealous of the eagles when it comes to FB. Weaver is pretty impressive.

He is a below average FB and we are much better when he is not in the game.

It probably makes more sense to train one of the LBs or DL to acct as FB in short yardage situations. All of our TEs are a bit on the tall side for this role unfortunately.

They didn't let Spears do it but I thought he might not be a bad choice as he did play TE in college and is very thick and powerful. Isn't this what the Pats have done for years to save a roster spot?

I think our best package is 2 TEs and 2 WRs. This package still gives us the versatility to go to a FB + RB looks as all 3 TEs are good enough blockers to do it (just not for the short yardage situations I envision).

Our second best package is 3WRs, 1 TE, 1RB.

I think our worst package is probably the 2TE, 1WR, 1FB look followed by the standard pro set offense.

know why that is?

because Barber is usually the back in those formations

i would like my fullback to be more invovled in the offense than just blocking tbh.

Just because it has seemed to be fairly unproductive overall. I don't see any reason why it has to be Barber. I'm pretty sure Felix has lined up behind a FB this year. I think we run this formation only 20% or so of the time.

The main reason I think the formation doesn't work is that Anderson isn't better than Crayton or Bennett who are on the field in the other formations.

Deon deserves his own thread, he blows people up in the hole - wish he would rub on bobby some cause the dude loves to hit

I think Cricket is very hit and miss. Has had some great games (@ Philly), and some horrific ones (@ Washington). He's been a nonfactor in the receiving game this year. I think he's regressed slightly.

I'd much rather have Lou Polite to be honest with you.

Maybe if he played more than 30% of the snaps, I could see him better.

I agree, it seems like we use Barber more as a FB than we use Cricket.

I know theo's a Jamar Martin fan

the rest of you guys must still mourn the lack of Tulius videos
