cool cool. seems like in rd 2 it would be hard to pass. it's so funny how much my opinion sways in draft season lol. this time two months ago he seemed like THE guy
Right now I think Graham, Harmon, Grant, Walker and the kid from OSU are certified dudes.

Graham and Harmon I’m good with top 15 the rest not so much.

Looks pretty good to me.......of course, it's YouTube. I don't see a fat flappy player.....but as mentioned conditioning will be the key. Attitude carries a little more weight DTs IMO coz their position doesn't offer chances for a ton of stats and are often asked to do a lot of dirty work. So character, interviews and talking with coaches are just as important as his size. As OP stated, we heard a lot of the same criticism about Chris Jones.

Here was Chris Jones biggest concerns in his original scouting report:

• Terribly inconsistent. Lowest grade of the season came against Northwestern State
• Effort is a concern. Looked to give up on some plays even though he wasn’t playing a high volume of snaps and had more negative grades than you’d like from a top pick.
• Burst off the line is lacking. Has a tendency to get high off the snap and play patty cake
• Didn’t show the change of direction to translate pressures into sacks and bring down quarterbacks

That sure sounds like Walker in a nutshell. Just like Chris Jones he is a raw prospect, but has elite physical traits that are rare. It will be up to Walker if he has the so called "want to" be great as he very well can turn into the next Chris Jones, if he doesn't we are looking at another David Irving, wasted talent.

Chris Jones had top ten talent, but was drafted in rd 2, I see the same with Walker. Will the Cowboys take such a polarizing player if even available on day 2?
I don’t think Walker makes it out of back half of the first round with teams like Detroit, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Baltimore, and KC always looking to bulk up their defensive lines. Mazi was not getting out of the first round if we passes on him and Walker has more talent.

I like this player more than most. He is a huge guy that played on a crappy team. If he played at Bama, he would be rated higher.

I hope we get him.

I’d bet my bank account Walker doesn’t go in the 1st.

I'm not Walker fan. I just think at where he is projected to go that there is too much work that needs to be done. We are talking technique, weight/conditioning, motor (and that's not something that's really taught), laziness and his biggest weakness is playing the run. The player we take in the second round needs to be ready to hit the field a not be a liability. If our roster was more sound and not full of holes than I can see taking a chance on him. We are already dealing with having to baby step a DT With Mazi and having two at the position is too much.

Yep, Walker looks like a round 2 guy. A boom or bust kind of guys. Jones is a turn it on and off type of guy. I see him take plays off too.

I don’t think his testing is going to change anything bc that’s not in question.

The interviews likely will.
Well Jordan Davis ran a 4.8 forty and went from a late 1st round pick to the 12th pick so there is that. Walker is a specimen scouts will be all over him.

Walker was considered a 1st rounder most of the process. The Eagles were just dumb selecting him that high.

He could run a 4.6 and it doesn’t change the concerns at all on him.
I wouldn’t complain with a Osa, Mazi, Walker rotation in our front seven. Would certainly be an improvement then what we seem to get.

The more I watch Walker the less I Like him.

Rule #1 for DTs for me is ability to anchor and gets pushed around against good competition for someone so big. UGA was not good.
