Supposedly They moved Noah Brown to IR and resigned Deonte Thompson.

Has anyone seen anything on this?

Yes...I read an article on it,and people talked about it in one of these threads. Kinda knew some of these guys were coming back.

Right, as it was figured Brown would go to IR. But they had to wait to put him on it. So he would be eligible to return after 8 games if they choose.
If placed on it before the cutdown, he would be on it all year.

Well, you know more than me. I don’t even know what happened to Brown,or that he was still in the conversations. Big possession guy though...could come in handy down the road if they add him to the game day roster in the dirty part of the year.

I don't know what Browns injury is but it was reported as a groin initially. It's rare to see someone on the IR because of a groin injury but I suppose it happens. So who was cut to resign Thompson and what was the point of cutting him if he was resigned?

No player was cut. They moved Brown to IR, then resigned Thompson.
They had to keep him on the roster one day to make this move. So he can be eligible to return if they decide to.
If he was placed on IR before the cut down, he would have to be on it all season.

So if this is a 2 week injury or a 5 week, does not matter, he will be gone for 8 weeks regardless.
good move by the team, and still retained Thompson.

If he was moved to IR, they would not need to cut anyone.

He was not injured last year. He had a broken leg in college.
Guys trying to make the team, got to stay healthy. He is a big strong WR though. 6’2 225 Like a poor mans Dez,and we need one of those. I won’t hold my breath, missing too much camp time hurts young players like that. But you never know...others can get injured,or not play as expected and he ends being help later on. Kinda like his physicality....not pushing him around that’s for sure.
