At two positions.

Oline:
We have NINE guys on the roster, one was an UDFA last year. Our backups are all garbage or unknowns.
Free, Kosier, Gurode, Davis, Columbo, Proctor, McQ, Brewster, Bright

Just look at those backups... they are trash (except maybe Brewster). One injury and our season is over

Defensive Backs

CB: Newman, Jenkins, Scandrick
S: Ball, Hamlin, Sensy, Watkins

I like Ball... but we have 3 CBs! One backup safety who might be decent (but was a 5th last year and showed nothing in regular season, also ws slow in 40 time).

Again, one CB or Safety injury and we are screwed.

Even if you love Sean Lee, how can you feel good about this? There's really nobody in free agency.

I hate this... I loved Dez pick but now I think we have a repeat of 2008, where injuries sink a promising year.

I didn't realize we start playing on Sunday.

Even JD Walton is gone now... good thing Free Reign is still together

I guess we're gonna call up 1-800-CB and 1-800-oline after the draft?

What does this question even mean? Dumb dum dum dum dum

I have no problem with our draft so far.

We got two players who can become eventual starters.

I'd rather draft starters than DEPTH. Not interested in drafting backups. Didn't we go through that already???

You people don't pay any attention to what the front office said about this draft.

Jerry said that they were not held hostage to ANY position and would draft BPA in a heartbeat. So far that's how it has turned out.

Way to many people over reacting as normal we need LB depth as well Brooking is 35 you do realize and if Bradie James also ot injured then Carpenter and Jason Williams starting ouch.

Plus the young guy would still be unproven young depth but according to people on this board Free could not play a lick of football

Yep over reaction; you also realize a lot of vets will be cut and FA are still out there etc etc

I like our draft somewhat but you gotta fill depth on your roster. You can take one non-need pick but not back to back.

Plus, Lee is no guarantee. His video and athletcism looks sub par.

BTW, we did draft a backup there. One who may be Carp 2.0. So, let's go get a future starter at a position of need instead. Just can't understand. Especially giving up the 4th.

If we keep the 4th, we can take an Oline and DB in 4. But now we can't. Game over with one injury

David, aren't you jumping off the ledge? LOL Is everyone forgetting about lasts years draft. We have 3 guys that were on the DL last year that are ready to go. Brewster, Williams and Hodge. Add Hamlin and J. Williams and it's a whole new rookie class.

There you go again crying about nothing the guy was drafted about where he was rated by the scouts. He was not a reach this was not trading up for Tim Tebow or drafting Quincy in the 2nd instead of the 4th or stupid stuff like that

I know Jerry said we are not hostage to any position. and they proved it with round 1.

But, once you do that, you gotta fill holes.

When has it become wrong to question the administration? I mean, they obviously have made tons of mistakes before (see 1996--2004 and then again 2009)...

I think they think we don't need any position, but I'm pretty sure most GMs would say we are crazy, especially at DB. Most people play 4-5 CBs and we have 3!!! Come on!!!

Two rounds in and we have two guys who could be stars on this team for years to come. I don't care what position they're playing, I don't want to hear any complaining about that.

Ok, when you reply to the original post then maybe you will look like you have a brain.

But, Burnett and Ducasse and others were available who were also highly rated and not reaches and fill a desperate need.

Plus, we traded a2 and a 4 for him! That makes it more of a reach. Nobody said he was worth two players then.

Everybody "could" be a star. Lee sure looks like a JAG, and he leaves us with major holes.

Even if he is a star, it won't be next year. And we just sacrificed next year to injuries because of him. Maybe he'll be a star once Romo's window closes and we have no QB again. A lot of good that will do us.

2009 was not a mistake how was it a mistake because guys where injured do I need to break out a post I had where the all great and mighty Patriots who had a 2nd round pick and about the same # of picks and got about the same production from their rookie class. Due to injuries or guys just not making their team. This on a team with a bunch of old slow LB's

Yea once again over reacting with out giving young guys time to develop. Please all the picks where 3rd round or later.

Ok, maybe too soon on 2009.But if we move up to get Unger, we fill a major need, get a starter, and I'm not freaking out right now. SO, it's gonna take a lot to make that draft overcome that HUGE mistake.
