Sgt. Dale Colegrove stopped the Impala just before 8 p.m. on I-85 at exit 4 in Fair Play, because Ross was following too closely, the report stated.

Well, Bill did say Ross was like a dog chasing a car.

Kinda sad,
all those cornerbacks with big talent and all of them with big time problems:

Dwayne Goodrich
Kareem Larrimore
Derek Ross

Last year i would have killed to have any one of those 3 on the right side. I really liked Kareem Larrimore and Derek Ross. Did Goodrich ever even play much? I dont remember him doing anything

When Goodrich "left" Dallas, he knew the football was brown and oval-ish in shape.

Ross charged in marijuana case

WALHALLA, S.C. (AP) -- Former NFL cornerback Derek Ross was arrested and charged with trafficking marijuana after a traffic stop Friday.

The 25-year-old Ross, who was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in 2002, was in a car with another man when police stopped the rented Chevrolet Impala on Interstate 85 near the South Carolina-Georgia border, according to Capt. Donnie Fricks of the Oconee County Sheriff's Office.

Officers smelled and saw marijuana on the console, and a search found 25 pounds of marijuana, police said.

Ross, of Rock Hill, also played for Atlanta and Minnesota. He was selected in the third round by the Cowboys out of Ohio State. The Cowboys released him late in the 2003 season.

Dalmicos Hemphill, 24, also of Rock Hill, has been charged with trafficking marijuana.
