Derrick Henry

Yeah I liken it to guys like Jerry Rice.. who could not heat up in a 40 (4.7) but once he got going could run with anybody. Part of the knock on Henry coming into the league was that he took a while to get to top speed. While true, it doesn't changes the fact that once he DOES get up to speed he can haul a$_$.
I believe that an Elliot who is in shape and w/ no attitude is a more effective overall RB than Henry.

Yeah Zeke is without a doubt the better all around football player. He can do a number of things that Henry simply cannot. And I don't have even a smidgen of doubt that if we choose to ride Zeke for 30 carries we would get similar results in the run game as they are getting out of Henry. The Titans are riding Henry ... which is smart.. Tannehill is not near as good as Dak so they cannot fall back on him when teams stack the line and hold him in check so Henry can average 2 ypc for three quarters and the Titans are still going to keep handing it to him. They know the dam is going to break eventually.. They just have to stay within a couple of scores.. which their defense is good enough to allow.. I know the Zeke haters don't like to acknowledge how good that dude is... but he is..

Ramsey is great

Great might be overstating but he's certainly very very good. I just can't get the picture of Gallup roasting his arse with the game on the line in last year's opener and him flopping to get a call out of my mind.

Has easily been the best CB since drafted

I felt bad for that DB that had to take him on in one play. He went low on him, but it still looked painful.

I have never thought Ramsey is all that
I agree and he seems like a overrated diva. I would have liked picking Henry in the second round, but I would have drafted somebody other than Ramsey in the first.

Just took a while for the Titan O line to get its act together. You notice he was NOT impressive his first few years in the NFL.

He was barely used. Because he wasn't a 1st round pick, he had to earn his spot and pay some dues. Nobody thought he would be this good.

Im shocked he is playing so well with 680 carries in 2019/2020

I'm curious how long he can keep this up. He runs to contact so much. I thought he was going to start slowing down this year but nope.

He is the one who got Tannehill his contract. Imagine if the Titans actually had a real QB. They would be scary. Once you take away Henry (Baltimore and KC did it the last 2 years in the playoffs), Tannehill and this offense are terrible. He's an average QB at best but Henry makes him look better. He got a contract like someone who can lead a team on his own. I remember when people thought he was better than Dak lol

Ok I havent had my fair share of abuse on Cowboys in a long time.
IS Derrick Henry as good as Jim Brown was?

Jim Brown was All Pro 8 seasons, averaged a 100 yards a game for a career. Averaged over 5 yards a carry/

Nobody will ever surplant Brown as the greatest RB ever. He was as big as d linemen.

see I know that was coming and of course arguing the point isnt good form but
Henry is a bad man and I want to debate this in a few years

A running back cannot supplant Brown in the modern NFL because of two main reasons. First the game gets tweaked to be more favorable for the passing game every 15 minutes. Secondly because of #1 and the salary cap teams tend to treat running backs as disposable. The Titans may be the exception but no matter how great Henry is when he starts to slow down they most likely kick him to the curb .. The only reason to keep him would be if he starts to close in on Emmitt's record.. but he's 5-6 years away from even being able to have that conversation and he's going to have taken a lot of punishment by then..

Henry is 27 and has a little over 6000 rushing yards, by 27 Brown had over 9000 rushing yards.

Brown was no Barry Sanders but he was elusive for a big guy, far more elusive than Henry and just as fast.

Obviously in Browns day he played vs smaller and slower athletes. But this is vs the era.

Hey, where'd the Henry fawners go? Guess his stellar 3 YPC just too good for the competition?

You mean 2.9.. I was actually kinda surprised KC did such a good job on him. I was expecting him to run wild on them.. especially after the Titans got the big lead. It is always going to be a challenge for him to continue getting the ball 30 times a game and being productive. His line took an L on Sunday.. so he, like every other back that ever lived, had a tough time gaining yards.
