That statement is very misguided. Roy is quite a bit aways on that play. Look at this photo. You would expect him to go for the hit. It was just a split second from looking like the guy would catch the pass to dropping it. Wouldn't you be mad if the guy did catch it and Roy was going for an interception? As he was running for the touchdown you'd be screaming "WHY DIDN'T ROY TACKLE HIM!!!":bang2:

Going for the tackle was the correct move... going for an interception was an impossibility from the position of the two players and the flight pattern of the ball. The picture makes it look like Roy was much closer to the ball than he really was.

I can't honestly understand all the blind hate Roy is attracting from this fan base.

I like Roy, i was simply making a casual comment about wishing he went for that ball, it looks plum for the taking in the still, sheesh that was all.
