Anyone catch his Punt Return last night against the Pats...

The way kickoff coverage is ... I hope the punt team doesnt fall victim to outkicking the coverage or else it will be a long day...

I liked him and was surprised he fell. I know he is maybe 165 pounds with pads but he can fly...

Return is about 2 mins in....

I went to CAL, so I'll admit that I'm a little biased, but the dude can play. I remember holding my breath last year when we played Chicago, but luckily we stomped them and kept Hester in check. Now I'll have to hold my breath twice a year, if not more if we see them in the playoffs, when our shaky ST punts to Jackson. I sure think he would look good on our team right now. Jenkins hasn't done much, and I would love to have seen Jackson back there. How about a Felix / Jackson return combo? Scary!

He is explosive, bottom line.

Scouts and idiot pundits label a guy small with a bad attitude - but certain guys just make plays. I'm not saying he's gonna be a thorn in our side for years to come, but he could've added yet another dimension to our return game.

I would much rather have had him returning kicks and punts full time - and helping T.O. stretch the field. Instead, we got Martellus Bennett.

Bennett is going to be a hell of a lot better than Jackson.

Jackson was long gone by the time we drafted Bennett anyway.

With Curtis out, even as a rookie, I think he's their best WR. He could be in for a huge year. McNabb looks healthy again too, to who knows, we might be talking about the OROY and not even know it.

I said from day one I wanted him.

Football isnt played at the combine, it's played on the field. Who cares how tall you are, or what your 40 is. Bottom line, is can you play football?

This guy will be a solid player for them. Too bad.

He is closer to 175 and in draft zone I was gaga to get this kid. His quickness and speed is off charts. I shudder thinking of our safeties dealing with that kid.

I wanted him with one of our 1's - now we will pay dearly for a decade.

So on draft day, who would you have taken him ahead of? Felix or Jenkins? It had to be one of them.

Taking into account that we had TO and Crayton, but had a holes in the secondary and backfield depth and versatilty, it would be a very tough call to have taken him in the 1st round. But it's easy to second guess.

You need to get up on this guy and beat on him, get physical. I sure hope we don't play 50 yards off him. They will move him around to get him off jams.

Well, we have to deal with a hypothetical here, so it would have possibly gone something like this.

Philly drafted DeSean with the 18th pick (#47) in the second round. Dallas had the 30th pick the second round, #61. In order to jump ahead of Philly, Dallas would have had to move to #17, or possibly #15 (Philly also had the 16th pick in round 2) in order to draft DeSean. According to the draft value chart, that would have cost Dallas their 2nd round pick at #30, and probably a 3rd round pick in 09 since their 3rd round pick in '08 went to Detroit. The #15 pick is valued at 430 points, and Dallas's 2nd was valued at 292 points. A 3rd round pick at #27 is valued at 136 points, and since Dallas has a good team, you could argue that they would end up somewhere around there in the next draft. So, hypothetically speaking, they could have swapped spots with Cincy in the 2nd round of the '08 draft and sent them a future 3rd round for the right to draft DeSean Jackson instead of a guy that will never be the starting TE unless Witten is injured.

Now I feel like a nerdo.

I think we'd have been better off going 22. jenkins, 28. desean jackson then trading up a little bit for ray rice in round 2. We'll see how the felix packages end up benefitting us this year though. If we could have somehow gotten a quality WR instead of bennet and kept fasano I think we'd be in great shape right now, oh well..... All the question marks seem to be on the defensive side of the ball anyways and special teams.

All tongue and cheek bull**** aside, Jackson is explosive. He may not have been the best pick for us at the time, but he will do well in Philly's offense.

he's dangerous w/ the ball in his hands, the WCO is a good offense for him
