I don't live in Texas and could care less about the Texans one way or another, however, I am uber impressed with Watson. He already has17 TDs in just 5 starts (15 passing, 2 Rushing).

He is on pace for 45 total TDs including 40 passing.

Pretty impressive.

He's a lot better than I thought he would be. His throwing motion has improved dramatically.

But he's not nearly as good as Dak was at this point last season. He's racking up stats against some pretty miserable defenses. Here's the FO.com defensive rankings for the opponents he has faced:

CIN - 2nd
NE - 32nd
TEN - 26th
KC - 19th
CLE - 28th

Meanwhile, here's what Dak faced this year:

NYG - 27th
DEN - 7th
ARI - 13th
LAR - 11th
GB - 20th

I am curious how the coaching has adapted the system for him. That guy seems like a great coach...winning divisions with trash at QB.

How anyone who watched the past two NC games not know this kid was special is beyond me!

Now throw in the fact that O'Brien is an offensive genius and here you go.

Agreed. A lot of Texans fans want him fired but I would gladly take him here if there was ever an opening

It's been a trash division since Bill O'Brien came there. Jacksonville, Tennessee and Indy (post-Manning)? Not exactly striking the fear in the NFL.

I give Watson a ton of credit because he didn't throw the football this well in college. But, I still see a QB that struggles to make reads and doesn't always anticipate this well. His game against Seattle this week will be telling because Seattle is still a good defense that has a very good secondary and has the speed to keep up with him when he runs with the ball.

He's good, Texans are on a hot streak offensively right now - once defenses start to adjust, it'll be interesting how he plays.

Just torched the Seattle defense...Richard Sherman said he will be Top-5 next year and I agree. I keep waiting for some defense to expose him but it looks like it's just not possible. You load up the box, well Hopkins is the best 1 on 1 WR in the league and all Watson has to do is throw it up and there is a good chance of completing it or drawing the flag. Fuller is one of the best deep threats already so he can also just fling it deep.

He has a great receiver duo to work with.
That being said, he looks great so far.

I don't know, man. Watson is doing this behind a genuinely terrible OL.

have you seen the texans play. A lot of read option, Trickery and misdirection. I love their playbook. Innovative and a lot of play action.
