Deshaun Watson out for the year

This is why I keep saying a lot can happen to impact potential playoff teams by the end of the season.

It was one of the worst trades in NFL history at the time it occurred. Not because of the off the field issues, although those obviously didn't help. It just keeps getting worse as time progresses. The Browns will be near the bottom in salary cap space for the next several years.

Just not a very smart organization. Nothing about Watson was worth that trade. Desperation makes you do stupid things.

With the AFC North teams bunched up with records at or between 7-2 and 5-4, the division title looks to go down to the wire.
Can the Browns' QB2 keep them in the mix?

Browns fans again get to go into the infinite carousel of QB hades.

It was astonishingly bad at the time and gets worse every day.

They gave:
2022 1st-round pick
2022 4th-round pick
2023 1st-round pick
2023 3rd-round pick
2024 1st-round pick
2024 4th-round pick.

Plus $230 million guaranteed.

Not one person outside of the Browns front office thought what they did to get Watson was a good idea at the time. Nothing we've seen to this point would change anybody's mind.

Amazing he hurt it that early and than was perfect in that 2nd half

Too bad, Houston vs. Cleveland in December was shaping up to be a great matchup...both for the playoffs and also for revenge between him and his old team

The cap is supposed to go up substantially the next few years and they probably will not sign garrett again after his current contract ends in 2026.. So realistically the next three years will be tough for them.

Only Mahoones would be worth all that.
