The reported numbers were so crappy. This sounds much better.

Only 2mil base.
1.5mil of potential roster money if he stays healthy.
The incentives are snap (game?) based, and only kick in if he's basically playing starter snaps.

This is even better than I wanted, as I expected the base to be guaranteed.
3.5mil, with .5 protected for IR, 1 protected for game day active, is perfect.

And if he's playing like a starter and makes those incentives, I'll take it.

2mil is worth it to me for him to be in training camp with Jaylon and LVE. Long term investment in their development.

And there's just so much upside to this. His brain on the field makes everyone better. And if he's fully healthy, even if a little older, that's our best 3rd LB since forever.

I'm happy with this deal, can we get Tyler Eifert or Eric Berry to agree to one of these? If so, sign 'em up!

We signed Witten. We're up to 4 TEs already, and that's not counting the recent camp body. I can't see any real money going to a TE.

But I think Berry is likely.

Health issue. Jerry will take health risks that other teams won't. And he's got the sports medicine center watching his back on that. Should be a plus for Berry. But we'll see if any other team bites big on Berry. We might pay him, but it will be structured around play time, not a big chunk upfront.

DAL would have saved 6.5m cutting SLee based on the Rule of 51

Instead we keep him and still save 4m...... not a bad deal

Lee stays.

Don't care how much they pay him.

He's year to year at this stage of his career.

You should care.

Because it would have been idiotic to carry a backup LB at an over $10MM cap hit. The restructure was smart.

I would atleast be looking at berry health issues
He doesn’t help if he can’t play but I’d see
Before Witten I thought that type of deal for eifert but we have 3 now to take snaps, not sure you bring him in to take away snaps from jarwin and schultz

No, I think the Witten nostalgia tour ended any thoughts of adding Eifert. We'll have to settle for enjoying that three yards and a cloud of dust routes.
