Closer to 50... I think NFL Films dubbed us "America's Team" in 1977.Who cares? We’ve been everybody’s Super Bowl for 40 years

Yeah I bet CeeDee and Dak can't wait to see that secondary again. And now that we've figured out how to use Turpin and the passing game and Tolbert has taken another step I like our chances of lighting them on fire.Their secondary isn't all that
This is the game I've been waiting for, and its the one that'll tell us if this team has any chance of making some noise come January. Probably the best team in the trenches that we will see all season long. Hutchinson is making a case to be right up there with the best EDGE players in football, and they may have one of the best duos of interior DLs in McNeil and Reader. Offensively their Tackles are among the best duo in the league in Decker/Sewell. Zeitler looks like a fantastic FA pickup for them. Not sure whats going on with their LG spot but I saw a few different players in there on the games I watched yesterday, that could be the matchup to try and exploit if they are playing a backup there. This is a game you'd really like to see Parsons be able to come back for, otherwise their OL should be able to handle the Cowboys front with just 5 blockers pretty often.
The Vikings are 5-0 with their next game being against DET. That will tell you all you want about the Vikings.I wouldn't be crowning the Vikings just yet. They still have to play Green Bay again and Love should be healthier the second time around plus they also have two games against the Lions and even the Bears look tough. If I recall, last season we had pretty much accepted that we were going to be wildcard team because the Eagles started out like 10-2 before their precipitous free fall the last month of the season. I still think Detroit wins the division barring any significant injuries.
You're right Rocky, it's early in the season, lots of football left to play. But you know both teams remember their meeting last season and have something to prove.I think both the Lions and the Cowboys don’t feel like they‘re only wild card teams. It’s only been 5 games. Cowboys are only 1 game out of first and the Lions only a half game out.
They made it in '91 after they beat the hell outta the Cowboys in the divisional round. But I agree.. to hell with them. I want the Cowboys to boat race their *****.Screw the Lions. They lost. They havent done squat my entire life and they are talking like this is some huge rivalry????? All you people whining and crying about our lack of success, probably are now praising the Lionettes. Im not sure they have made and nfc title game in my entire life besides last year.
"No Call"??? Hell they flipped it around & penalized us for it. Took us out of field goal range. They must of forgot about the no call tripping foul.
Sounds like Detroit has a feeling about it too. They have had this game circled as soon as the schedules ame out. They really want to play us due to what happened last year. I remember their DE Hutchinson saying that they wanted to play Dallas in the playoffs bad. That being said, it would be nice to see us come out and put them behind the 8 ball early. I have a good feeling about us this week.
Well if we have to beat 'em through the air, here's hoping CeeDee is wearing a happier face than we've seen on him lately. If he can't get over himself, put him on the bench and give it to Turpin or Tolbert. Might even bring in Flournoy.i'm sure dallas wants this game just as much. we out played them last year yet all anyone wants to talk about is the lions ineptness at checking in with officials.
if hutchinson gets called for tripping on the pollard play...the final sequence might not have occured...and if quinn hadn't gone in prevent mode. the lions showed no resistence at all against our offense that night. with :36 still on the clock...its likely we win the game any way with a late score. but i don't expect dallas to get any credit for how well they played that night vs a good lions team. it's more "ball don't lie...blah blah ". Fast forward to sunday...the lions def is not good vs the pass. that is the strength of our offense. there will be opportunities thru the air vs the lions
I like our chances on sunday.
30-27 dallas.
