They have had this game circled as soon as the schedules ame out. They really want to play us due to what happened last year. I remember their DE Hutchinson saying that they wanted to play Dallas in the playoffs bad. That being said, it would be nice to see us come out and put them behind the 8 ball early. I have a good feeling about us this week.
Dallas-23
Detroit-19

Detroit is a good all around football team. Without the injuries we have this would be a tough win. Unfortunately I do not see us winning here. But Im curious to see how we do against the run against them even with the players we have missing.

I have only conceded 5, maybe 6 Cowboys games as a loss before they were played in 35-plus years as a fan. I hate to say it but I am adding this one. I hope I am wrong but the Lions are loaded on both sides of the ball and coming off a bye week. Not to mention some key injuries we have although I'm not sure it would matter. Believe it or not, I feel way more confident facing the 49ers next week than the Lions this week.

This is one of those games Jimmy talked about where you punch them in the nose and let it all hang out. (lol)

The Cowboys have the same playoff problem this season as the Lions do. Both teams have a divisional foe ahead of them in the standings. So each team knows their path to the playoff is most likely as a wild card team rather than a division champion. That makes winning this game even more important because they are directly competing for one of only three wild card slots in the playoffs. Currently, the Lions would have the 5 seed in the playoffs while the Cowboys would hold the 7 seed. There is still plenty of time for both teams to better themselves but it's good to remember that this game is potentially a tiebreaker to determine who qualified for the NFC Playoff tournament.

This is the game I've been waiting for, and its the one that'll tell us if this team has any chance of making some noise come January. Probably the best team in the trenches that we will see all season long. Hutchinson is making a case to be right up there with the best EDGE players in football, and they may have one of the best duos of interior DLs in McNeil and Reader. Offensively their Tackles are among the best duo in the league in Decker/Sewell. Zeitler looks like a fantastic FA pickup for them. Not sure whats going on with their LG spot but I saw a few different players in there on the games I watched yesterday, that could be the matchup to try and exploit if they are playing a backup there. This is a game you'd really like to see Parsons be able to come back for, otherwise their OL should be able to handle the Cowboys front with just 5 blockers pretty often.

I would say this week might be a good idea to keep Tyler Smith at LT for Daks blindside let Guyton have the Detroit game and the bye to get well for second half of long season .

It’s a must Dowdle and the OLine keep a rushing attack going chew up clock sustain drives. Against Pitt Giants Cleveland you can kick FG’s with Detroit need TD’s at least 3 to go with 3 FG’s.

Dallas 30
Detroit 27

Dallas is beat up and emptied their tank on Sunday night.

Detroit is rested, healthy, and looking for payback from last year.

They have better team speed, toughness, scheme, and discipline.

This is a bad matchup for us when we are healthy— but we are at least at home with some good vibes after Sun night.

If the offense can run the ball, limit mistakes, and keep it close — give Dallas a puncher’s chance for the win.

Gotta get Goff uncomfortable and we need beast Mazi and Linval to show up

I don't know why they are angry with the Cowboys. It was the refs that called the penalty on them. Dallas was ready to give them the game.

But I have this as another blowout loss. The Lions have all the weapons that seems to give the Cowboys fits, a fast RB, WR speed and a solid offensive line.

The beat up Dallas defense is gonna have a tough time with this one. The offense is gonna have to keep up with them and they haven’t shown much this season other than Aubrey and FGs.
Our offense is going to win this game

I wouldn't be crowning the Vikings just yet. They still have to play Green Bay again and Love should be healthier the second time around plus they also have two games against the Lions and even the Bears look tough. If I recall, last season we had pretty much accepted that we were going to be wildcard team because the Eagles started out like 10-2 before their precipitous free fall the last month of the season. I still think Detroit wins the division barring any significant injuries.
