It is always prudent to take more than enough time to stabilize the patient and then move them.

For him to be on The field that long, it’s an emergency situation. A bad break can cost someone their leg. Hopefully it’s not career threatening.

It could just be that there is a compound fracture and they want to set the leg before moving him.
