I missed the game living in Maryland. It appears that we had offensive line breakdowns throughout the game. The defense appeared to step it up in the second half. Can someone give me a summary?
Offensive line was not great in pass protection. Pretty good run blocking though. Zeke and Pollard combined for 137 and 2 TDS rushing.
Passing game was very meh, but overall Dak played fine given the fact he really hasn't played a full game since the SF playoff loss. I give his performance 6/10
Defense gave up some yards, but made some huge splash plays forcing 5 turnovers. Diggs and Lewis picks + Sam Williams and Micah Parsons strip sacks to end the game. We lucked out on a Detroit goal line fumble forced by DLaw on the 1 yard line when the score was DAL 10 - DET 6.
Overall thoughts are that this defense is legitimately a top 3 unit. Their play making is unbelievable and they will be the strength of this team. They held the #1 scoring offense to 6 points and their lowest yardage output all season.
Additionally the offense struggled in the first half and had a drive killed by a Noah Brown fumble inside the 5 along with a few drives halted by back to back penalties. They came alive some in the second half, but improvement is still needed. Kellen Moore may have called one of the worst games of his career with at least 4-5 absolute head scratchers.
A win is a win and Dallas s 5-2. Game was closer than the score showed. On to Chicago.
