I’m not often moved by anything our front office does but yesterday is a proud day I’ll never forget.

Not only did the Cowboys in the 6th round draft a hot little and I mean very little at 5’5 commodity and instant impact player , they did it with class allowing the Cowboys scout who is Duece’s father to make the call in a very emotional moment in the Cowboys War Room .

A rare applause and shout out to Jethro and Jone$ family.

I’ll say this about the Jones’s we can bring up his past, side kids, failures…..whatever. One thing though I will say is they stick by theirs. They are very good to their staff and players. I don’t think I’ve ever heard a ex player or staff member bad mouth them.

Very special moment. Glad they allowed us to live that. Happy for the Vaughns..I think Deuce and his family should know they got Cowboys nation by the balls. Gonna be a fun preseason.

I hope he is everything fans are saying about him. I did not really know a lot about him. Until drafted. I need to look at the thread and finish any hight light video posts. Only had time to look at it a little. But have all morning now.

If he can give us 5 or 6 plays a game, in the Sproles / Dunn type capacity, great. Maybe he can be what they wanted Lance Dunbar to be.

Can he be a PR & KR as well. Replacing Turpin? Since they did not use Turpin at WR, and Deuce can pass catch for what Turpin did not get the chance to do.
Therefore replacing Turpin, it open up a WR spot for a better player there.

Just look at his stats . I saw him play almost every game last year . If not for being the shortest man in the NFL he would have been a much earlier pick.

I think he has the potential to becoming much more than just a few plays a game spark.

I mentioned 6 plays, as that was what the guys on the ticket said yesterday. They liked the pick, and asked each other, and agreed...if he can get in 6 plays or so a game, and makes an impact, that is a great pick.

He looks ok running and catching on hl.
Thing is they probably could have signed him as udfa, and used that pick on another guy?

I am realistic about what could happen to this kid in the NFL at his size if he is not used correctly ........ but Damn this pick made me happy.
Kid is a weapon on the field and a great human being off.
Love it

Duece is explosive with big play ability.

He was hard to stop playing in the B12 against Texas - always gave the Longhorns fits.

I can see him returning kick-offs, and punts and complimenting a RB1. He reminds me a bit of Barry Sanders

Watched the highlights video, from the other thread. Then seen it posted in here as well.
This kid could be a pet cat in TC.

I may even start a ...start Vaughn over Pollard train ...

If that happens I wonder what we do with Turpin. He’s gonna have to show something in the receiving game.

Duece IMO is the best "Space Player" in the draft. He won't break very many tackles but, he is very good at avoiding contact.

He is a TD waiting to happen every time he touches the ball.

His vision and quickness give me hope he will survive even at his size.

I mean Sproles laid the blueprint out for guys like him. He’s gonna get some nice wear and tear in preseason to get his body ready.

Where Vaughn may excel. As KC did this with their speed guys, especially Hill.
Have him waiting toward the sidelines as an outlet or safety valve type play. If no one was open, Hill or another guy always seems open. Mahomes flips the pass to him, and he takes off.

I could never figure out how or why DC never planned for that. And a lot of teams never seemed to copy that play design, or if they did, I missed it.

They send player to areas as not to have that guy completely covered. This would work great if they add that to the playbook for him.
