Deuce Vaughn has Been the Same Size all his Life

He won't make the team because he does too many the same exact things Turfin does it's really never been about his size it's about the things he does the best we already have a guy that does it equally or better... Turpin is not big Turpin does hardly ever looks like he ever gets hurt he gets hit hard and he gets right back up the man is tiny they both have a similar skill set you can't have two guys on the team that provide unique skill sets exactly the same he should have never been drafted or he should have never kept on the team if they put him on the practice guard I think it'll get taken immediately there's going to be another team out there that puts him on special teams immediately let's him return punts and kicks and he'll do it very well and then he'll be into the game enough to get 5 to 10 carries a game but do it right smart creative things that they do with turpin behind a line of scrimmage in motion get to the outside but you just can't have two players exactly the same undersized that do the same things...

He simply ended up on the wrong team not saying he's going to have a great NFL career but his upside his special teams first he can return the damn football and then he can do this small sample size gadget place when a team that needs him picks him up because we already have that guy in Turpin I can't say that enough people just don't want to listen it's not about his size it's about not having anything for him to do here...
Turpin has elite speed. That's what helps him overcome his size. Deuce just doesn't have that. Even if Turpin wasn't here, Deuce still would not have that.

I’ll be surprised if he even makes the practice squad but it’s possible. Just like last off-season, they have him hanging around with the receivers. As a receiver out in space is the only way he’s going to be able to make plays. His biggest issue is he’s competing against bigger players and Blue is faster. Deuce is quick and elusive, but he doesn’t have burner speed.
Do they? I haven't read anything about him hanging around with the receivers this year.

Vaughn needed a couple things to happen that didn’t go his way……

Needed MM to create some plays designed specifically for him. Nope.

Needed Turpin to not emerge the way he did as a returner unexpectedly.

That combo prevented any possible longshot chance he had.

But I'm betting he still would be our punt and kick returner and still get those plays you get him in space he's elusive enough I just said but he's not good enough to beat out turpin but I guarantee he could be on another team that needs a special team's returner and a guy that can give them something maybe five runs again he can do that yes he can do that I'm saying I put my word on it that I bet he could do that...

Things did not change that much from his college days he can still be a great returner and give you enough on offense to be worth keeping on the team you just can't have two guys like that I said it and I'm not going to keep repeating myself I feel and I bet I'm right if he gets on another team that needs a returner they can find five plays on offense for him and they'll do it better but again we have that here already is why he never got the opportunity..

And who would have thought that Turpin would last this long get a new contract and never be injured he's the smallest guy on our team that's a fact.. We're talking about weight and the way his frame looks like he looks like a high school player standing around them just as far as his whole posture and he doesn't get hurt if he got hurt we even saw more of Vaughn and we wouldn't be having this conversation.

I believe you'll go on another team that will appreciate him more and have room for him and he'll do well on special teams you don't need blazing speed to be a returner you need moves he has moves....

You remember Dwayne Harris no he wasn't small but his 40 time is almost the same exact as ****** von and he was one of the best returners we've ever had here most consistent returner hardly did anything on offense to contribute to the team I believe he played like 6-7 years in the NFL.

He had under 900 yards and eight touchdowns on offense, TOTAL that's not contributing much on O but he did enough To keep him around because he did great in special teams it's kind of like a guy like Goodwin on special teams we keep him around because he's really good deuce can do that for another team we just don't have room for him...

Maybe he would have been our kick returner without Turpin. I don't know. I don't think he returns punts, though. Harris definitely overcame his lack of speed, but I don't think size is as important at receiver as it is at running back. We've used Turpin on a few running plays here and there, but I don't think we'd ever try to turn him into strictly a running back. And I think that's the challenge Deuce faces. His position isn't really conducive to being as small as he is. There have been a few exceptions to the rule, but not a whole lot.

Whatever the Cowboys get out of Deuce Vaughn is a bonus.

People forget he was the 212th pick in the draft. Dallas took two players before him (Viliami Fehoku and Eric Scott) that didn't even play a regular season game for them. Yet if (or when) Deuce gets cut fans are going to rail over him being a wasted draft pick. Makes no sense.
