Let Deuce loose!!
Let him spin!
He may not get as many carries as he got last season. They need to try and utilize him in the passing game. He’s going to be the odd man out when they eventually bring up Dalvin Cook.

for some reason it has the can't view it label from YouTube. I'll be going home in a bit, and I need to bring this down with Rambo!! lol thanks bro
Brother, if this is the "can't view it" screen label you are receiving, click on the link within the screen where at the bottom is underlined "Watch on YouTube". I affixed a red arrow pointing at it. Click it. It should open a new page for you to be able to open and see the video.

Hope this helps.

If the Cowboys bring Dalvin Cook up, they need to move Rico Dowdle down. Big mistake if they move Deuce Vaughn down. Someone will quickly pick him up and use him effectively.

Deuce is fast enough, not Tyreek Hill fast but fast enough to take it to th house. Worry about the other backs on the roster before you come for him. Emmitt also wasn’t known for his blazing speed, but he also was fast enough.

These clips and highlights presented are during Deuce's college dayz, ..but at the NFL , there
are faster, stronger, bigger and more athletic, more level of competition ...many past college players stand out at a lesser level vs the NFL.

Lets see Deuce's speed and skill set and big play splash skills at the NFL level of competition.
But for that to happen, we have to have coaches that truly believe Deuce can prove so.
Give him the chance, the touches, the scheme and ways that best utilize Vaugh's skill set..

Do we have those kind of coaches here ?

I'd rather my back have burst and quickness over long speed. Deuce has it in spades.

Can I start a Deuce Vaughn thread?

I have seen anecdotes on this forum several times about Vaughn's top end speed, and the usual idea is that Deuce "is shifty, but not fast in a straight line". I think that's true for the most part. His side-to-side ability is elite, but his top end speed is not.

But I have also seen "Deuce Vaughn isn't fast" or "Deuce is too slow" several times now, and that just isn't true.

21.5+ mph on the field is ridiculous. It is plenty fast, especially for a RB. That is really fast for a WR, much less a RB.

For reference, the fastest speed hit by a ball carrier so far this season was the Texans WR Nico Collins, clocked at a max of 21.89 mph. The 2nd fastest recorded straight-line-speed so far this season was 21.21 mph, hit by Colts WR Alec Pierce. Pierce ran a 4.41 40 at the combine. He is plenty fast. But, 21.21 mph? We already know Deuce can clear that.

That's it. I just felt like dispelling a myth. I am once again hoping the Cowboys use more Deuce. He is likely the fastest RB on the team.

He's playing with the big boys now and can't seem to get his game to the next level. Personally, I think he's in the early stages of being an NFL bust. Sure, he was able to "shake and Bake" in college, but Deuce ain't in Kanas anymore...................

Speed is relative. When I watch Vaughn run in the NFL he does not look faster than the other NFL players he is trying to run away from. In college, maybe, but so far in the NFL I haven't seen it. There is no doubt he is shifty, but is that enough in the NFL?

I have no problem giving him some chances. They probably should have handed him the ball more in the preseason games.

I'd love to see him get some actual touches, but at the same time I understand where they (the coaching staff) feel better giving those to our other backs. Would have been neat to see him get some carries when we were in "garbage time".

I've known about Deuce's top speed and quickness. I still don't understand what this stubborn and clueless coaching staff is waiting on by refusing to play Deuce Vaughn???

This coaching staff is what is holding back this offense’s true potential.
For week 1 the coaching was excellent in keeping it vanilla until the starters get up to true game speed but.......they will need to open this mother up and going against the Saints defense should be the perfect spring board.

As to Vaughn not playing, it's hard to 2nd guess the coaches who see him every day because if he truly doesn't have defeciencies you would think that a lame duck HC like MM would want to throw the kitchen sink at defenses and utilize his very BEST players

Not really.. If in fact Deuce hit 21.5 mph in pads then it does not matter what else is around him. But it bears stating that he hit that speed on like an 80 yard run and as I have mentioned many times, there are not a lot of 80 yard runs in the NFL and in reality almost nobody hits top speed before 50-60 yards. So there is a very good chance that Deuce has never reached his top speed at the NFL level because he has not had any 50 yard plays. What we have seen is the he does not run with the same authority that he did in college. I can relate to what we see very well as I played at his size. I think I was probably faster but he's definitely stronger than I was. But the point is that if I ran the least bit tentative it negated the best gift God gave me which was my quickness and acceleration. I think once Vaughan gains the confidence to trust what he sees and hit the hole at 100 mph like he did in college we will see him make some plays because he will accelerate past defenders who won't even see him until he's up on him and if he gets on them with some speed the one arm thing isn't bringing him down. I'm rooting for the kid because he plays for the Cowboys and seems like a fine young man.

How could that late a draft pick ever be a bust?
