1. Deuce won’t play special teams at all, so he will need significant utility to remain on the field

2. He won’t come in on 3rd and long because he’s too small to block.

2. He NEEDS a mixture of both regular carries AND gadget plays. If he only gets used as a gadget guy, they’ll know it’s a screen or sweep every time. To get there he needs to be RB2 eventually

He needs to be able to return Punts and Kicks.
Unless they feel they can use Turpin in the passing game, but Deuce can be used there as well.

He need to replace Turpin, and they can't have 2 guys just for specialty plays / ST's.
I can't see them carrying only 5 WR's and Turpin is one of them. Though they have carried 6 and even 7 before.

Didn't watch any K-St games did you?
yes, IM a Longhorn fan and keep an eye on TCU , so i was forced to watch those games. Vaughn flashed in every one of them, so much so i had no idea he was that small.. all i noticed was Darren Sproles like game and was impressed. pre-draft i thought he was target before Pollard signed his tag, was thinking he was a lot like pollard, so wasn't a big need, thought we would take Roshon instead, bigger back type, but the fact he was still there that late, i was happy they took him..

they wont im sorry but Vaughn wont be just the specialist he will get real snaps hes not a gadget guy, jeez go watch his full film , hes a real RB who can split snaps...

no Turpin's not going to be replaced this year. he will have his first true NFL offseason that feel a rhythm with one team can be established and the coaches will further develop his pass game. no reason both cant split time or even do the okie doke with them both back on returns and run games on reverses and fakes etc there have been plenty of return specialist throughout the history of the NFL that hardly pay much at a regular position. not unheard-of KT was so close to breaking many of those for tds.. he was very good until his little fumble or bobble issues late.

Maybe watch a little closer?
I did hes not a hype gadget guy who will only play STs..you watch closer..i was watching my teams play not theirs, so didnt lock into him enough, to notice size as they are fully geared up and many times weaing sleeves and gloves, that often but that's the point, he was always making plays..

Anyone who watched him actually play that knows the draft I’m sure thought he was a 2nd or 3rd rounder.

Then his height is 5’5 and he doesn’t run a 40 and his stock plummets.

He’s got huge boom potential and if he busts then oh well it was only a 6th rounder.

I heard he benched 225 17 times at the combine.. That’s crazy at his size.

- How do you know he won't play special teams at all ? IF Bones coached up MAlik Davis and Rico Dowdle at kick off duties,.. why not Deuce ?

- 3rd an long does not necessary mean blitz block - it could mean as a receiver outta backfield (ala RB screens)

- What is these " gadget" plays you guys keep talking about ? What gadget plays was he running at KSU ? He had several plays where he worked downfield as a
a receiver outta the backfield and numeral swing and dump off passes ?

Seems like your expectations and view of Vaughn is clearly a lot different than others.
