Good RBs are very hard to find in the mid rounds. Even better known fact.
No, if you're going to take a RB in the 1st, he better be Henry or Mixon or Gibbs.
Gotta be a rounded guy if you are spending a 1st. 3 down guy. You might be able to get a pure runner in the mid rounds, but you may have to augment that with a 3rd down back that can block and catch.

Its much harder getting 3 down backs past the top 90 than people realize. Its not even that easy to get good runners. For every Pacheco, there 20 Jaruis Jacksons, Bo Scarboroughs and Mike Webers

If Jerry had any respect or reasonable judgment for the GM position, he'd get one or give McClay the job, outright.

Sadly, his ego tells him otherwise. Evidently, that's assuming Stephen doesn't want to hurt his daddy's feelings.

Yet, so many people here in CZ said no good RB was needed to win a superbowl.
Agree.

that didn’t work out well.

it was because of the #ZekeHate

they wanted Zeke to work on a rookie contract forever.

micah gonna get the same treatment.

when his elite speed goes, fanz will want him gone.

Yep, they did blow it this offseason.

But late 1st rounder or 2nd rounder is more the sweet spot.
#4 overall for Zeke was not great. Kind of crazy even.
That's 3X the price of a late 1st. I mean Henry went that year in the 2nd

Even this year, that 4th we used on Bucky Irving or Isaac Guerendo in that same round
Should say "that 4th rounder used to get Trey Lance"

Really, the point was that people should not say 1st rounder vs 2nd rounder, etc.
That could only 1 draft spot apart or 63 spots apart .

Also, although I think the 4th pick overall is way too high for a RB, Zeke was VERY good for us.....so nothing against him as a player.

The average draft position for a top 10 rusher is about 40th or so

Emmett ran pretty good the other night. Was he just tricking everybody saving his body for retirement. Looks like he still had it when he wanted it.

We don't know what Jeanty will be yet. If you take him high in the first, he'd better have wheels, power, moves, and vision.
He has all those things, in the Mountain West Conference. Of course, Vaughn had all those things in the Big 12.
