If Collins is there, I would be extremely happy if he's the pick. He's a top 10 guy on my board, but I've seen him a lot lower on some national boards. Maybe it's due to the RT projection. I'm with you all the way on Parker and would not be opposed to Strong depending on if he's at the top of the board.

I doubt Collins. I think he's gone by then. I was thinking more like Flowers or Clemmings. If one of those guys is there, I'm seriously considering them.

I'll post my top 50 overall and my mock in a few weeks. Basically my top priority is Todd Gurley. I see that potential selection like the Dez Bryant selection. Grand larceny of a top 5 talent because of analysis paralysis. A tape measure shot that leaves the ball park. That guy behind this line with the way we've committed to running the ball would be outstanding.

I don't think Parker makes it to our pick, which is pretty much what everyone thinks.

Strong though, very well could be there, and he has been a pet cat of mine for a while now. I really like his game.

However, I don't think I'd take him at 27, although I'm not sure because I really like him. If everyone else we like was simply gone and there was no trade partner, then I would take him and be fine with it.

Otherwise, I'd rather take a guy like Kevin Johnson, or even Preston Smith.

you have a lot of pet cats, almost a pride at this point! :D

You have to at least consider it. Right now I would say that the WR position is as up in the air as our DE position, as they both are relying on guys that might not be there next year. Another question is, what happens to Dez if we were to draft Parker. If someone were to call up offering a say a mid 2nd and 3rd this year and a 1st next year, do you trade him? It's hard to imagine him not being here... but we could do a lot still with $13 million and 2 more picks.

Haha, yeah, I have a few.

Trust me; the list of guys that I don't like is longer.

And it depends on where they're taken if I like them a lot or not. For instance, Kevin Johnson has been a pet cat since last season, but that was when I thought he might could be had at our second round pick. I still like him a lot but now that he'd have to be taken at 27, I'm much less interested in getting him. He is a really good player though.

I've had him as my 2nd rated CB for months. Thats why I was thrilled at the possibility of getting him at 60. It seems the NFL draft people think highly of him also now to the point that's very much doubtful now. With that said, he would be my 2nd targeted player behind Gurley in rd 1 and I would still be happy with him there.

I have some pet cats as well, and I will "reveal" them soon....I am going to finalize my spreadsheet and I think pet cat tab may be appropriate of some sort...

While both Parker and Strong are WR, I get the feeling that they are sorta viewed as in different tiers of players. Parker seems to be viewed as one of the last 1st round talents as opposed to Strong seeming to be in that next group which most seem to make from about 15-45 or so.

So what I'd say is I'd hate to see them pass up on Parker because he almost has to be the BPA, by what we know, if he's there when we pick. And he's BPA by a good half a round. If you're looking at guys like Strong/Johnson/OO I don't have nearly as strong a feeling about going BPA there, because you're talking a similar tier of players by most rankings systems.

To me the interesting question would be would you take Gurley, Parker, or Dupree if they are all there at 27.

Gurley would still be bpa for me and fill a need so he would be my pick. I have Gurley just ahead of Parker on my board.

If they're in your same tier, I have to agree.
I think a lot of people have Parker tiered higher than Gurley... But certainly not everyone

Agreed. Some boards have him higher and some have Gurley higher. For me personally I have Gurley at 7 and Parker at 9. Same tier, but I have Gurley higher. If Parker is in that top tier and Gurley isn't, you either take him or try to trade down. I bet some team would pay a hefty price to move up for him, and I would have to be blown away to trade back if Gurley and Parker are somehow on the board.
