What if Devante Parker or Jalen Strong are sitting there at 27...any interest at all.

Initially I would say no.

However if Both Gurley and Gordon are gone. Kendricks and Dupree are gone.

You have the two WRs, Kevin Johnson at CB, OO, Preston Smith.

Would you consider taking one of the WRs?

I probably wouldn't, though I don't really hate the idea of taking a WR early.

If Smith and OO are there, I don't think you can pass up on one of them.

There's a good chance a team would be willing to trade up - from the late 1st early second - if one of those guys is still there.

NE, SEA, Jax, Tenn, Oakland could all use a good WR, depending on who they take in the first.

It'd be really hard to pass up Parker if he somehow fell to 27. I just don't at all see that happening though.
I wouldn't go so far as predict it, but it wouldn't surprise me one bit if he ends up better than Cooper and/or White. He's a top 10-12 talent.

I'm not taking Strong at 27. If that entire tier of players was gone at that point (and I don't think the tier we'll have him in will be empty by then), I'm desperately trying to trade down.
He too has a shot to be real good tough.

If they are there and rated as BPA, then you consider it. If selected, that would make for quite the off-season chat with Dez not signed long term.

I would take Davante Parker in a heartbeat. You just don't pass on potential impact players like that.

I would think he would cause some teams to offer us a decent pick to trade up.

Frankly I don't see him falling...even if he did fall a good ways I would imagine that Baltimore would snatch him up right before us.

I don't think Parker makes it to our pick, which is pretty much what everyone thinks.

Strong though, very well could be there, and he has been a pet cat of mine for a while now. I really like his game.

However, I don't think I'd take him at 27, although I'm not sure because I really like him. If everyone else we like was simply gone and there was no trade partner, then I would take him and be fine with it.

Otherwise, I'd rather take a guy like Kevin Johnson, or even Preston Smith.

Im not completely opposed to it....I just think there would be a huge abount of drama created by the media about the Dez situation if we were to. I'd much rather trade back in that situation.

And if you're taking about WR being a possibility I don't think you can leave out an OT being available. I expect 1 of Clemmings, Flowers, Peat, Collins or Humphries to be available at 27 still.

Yes, always go BPA.

Parker is currently ranked at #13 and Strong at #20 by NFLDS.

The issue when considering what if a player falls, is that we the fans don't have all of the information. If a player falls significantly, I tend to think that teams have found something that we don't know about. I think back to players like the DT Jesse Williams from a few years ago. All of the draft analysts had him as a solid 2nd round pick right up to the draft. He ended up drafted in the 5th round at which time we found out that he had degenerative knee issues.

That is something I am curious about as well...One of the OTs being there, the top Defensive players being gone they like, can't trade down...would they be tempted to Take one of the OTs (whether they plan to keep the person at OT or OG).

I think they would pass in that instance. I don't think they would spend another first on an Offensive lineman.

I know there was talk that they tried to trade back up to get Trai Turner the OG from LSU which seems to indicate if they did they planned on possibly moving Zack to OT.

But I still don't think they go OT/OG in the first...figure they might take a flyer on one later though.

Yes...His issues were coming out just prior to the draft (made mention of it on the draft show IIRC) but most did not know it.

There have been other players that have fallen as well to later find out about a medical issue or a failed drug test or some other issue.

Baltimore has huge voids in the secondary. I mean glaring holes. They were pulling guys off the street to play in the secondary just like the Cowboys did with DL two years ago.

Both Demarius Thomas and Dez Bryant slid pretty far in that draft. So Strong and Parker can slide. I also think a lot of teams will go OL earlier as it is the safer pick and the Cowboys have had great success the past two years. It is a copycat league.

So we change the scenario from them taking Parker just before us to them taking Kevin Johnson before us.

I really need to pay attention to what first rounders they bring in and show interest in. It seems like RB has been the biggest interest this far but I think only Two they would take in the first.

UCLA Kendricks might be there and someone we have shown interest in as well.

I think you would have to take Parker. Most consider him nearly equal to Cooper and White. I would consider Strong also. I think he's the 4th best receiver in the draft, not far behind the top 3. In that scenario, i would have him and K. Johnson rated similarly and would take Johnson. Now if Johnson is gone, I would take Strong.

I would absolutely be willing to take a WR in the first round. If Parker's there and Gurley's not, he's BPA.

You're too smart to let the media dictate your draft picks. I'd see the pick like I saw the Martin pick. Pure BPA.

I'd be open to that too and lately I've been thinking that very well could be the best value at 27.

If Collins is there, I would be extremely happy if he's the pick. He's a top 10 guy on my board, but I've seen him a lot lower on some national boards. Maybe it's due to the RT projection. I'm with you all the way on Parker and would not be opposed to Strong depending on if he's at the top of the board.
