One is a historically good head coach, even if his legacy in Dallas did not necessarily reflect that.

Lately all I hear is how great his time here was

It's an interesting discussion because both coaches had similar shortcomings in Dallas. Parcells's defense, like Garrett's offense, was completely dependent on players winning individual matchups.

I'm labeled as sunshine/koolaid, yet outside of his first season I don't look back as the shining light everyone else does.......I just find it weird.

Would anyone say that the roster Parcells was working with was better than this current roster or the one from last year?

This.

The roster Parcells inherited was abysmal.

His time here certainly didn't produce much more in the way of success, but I say with 100% confidence he doesn't lose 6 in a row with this roster.

well, one took over a total **** show that won 15 total games the 3 years prior to his arrival. For the record though, I like Garrett, and I don't like always switching coaches..

The Steelers have had 3 coaches in 50 years (roughly) and won more Super Bowls than anybody.

One had Quincy Carter and Drew Bledsoe.
One had Tony Romo.

One took over a team that had been 5-11 three years in a row.
One took over a team that, the year before, won a playoff game and two years before that was 13-3.

Both rebuilt and changed defensive schemes

JG has had a great QB from day one. He's proven to be the main cog on the whole team. Parcells had a young Romo who was prone to mistakes, and only had him a short time any way. Parcells got it. Garrett has no clue.

They had very good HCs. Can't put Garrett in that class.

Tony admits that both those QBs helped him grow. Parcells knows how to groom QBs.

Wasn't he Sean's guy.......lets talk about draft under Parcells!

Some say even one of his best picks Ware almost didn't happen

You can talk about any thing you want. I can't find any thing that puts Garrett any where near the coach Parcells was.
To add, Sean helped get him here, Parcells brought him along.
