I'll admit that when he caught that TD, I was pretty much like this guy.
5th pick in the 2nd. That's close to being a 1st.
And he was drafted that high after basically running just two routes at Ohio State. He certainly has the physical ability, we talked about in this previous threads that his real value was the deep ball but Kellen Moore was smart enough to note show that card in the preseason.
Smith is an amazing underrated player. Very instrumental in Ohio States National Championship run with Zeke. I just hope his knee holds out. He is a diamond in the rough. Another player JJ took a small gamble on and has payed off so far.
Im just wondering if its feasible to have another knee operation to install a back up ACL so he has two of them in case one goes. If his knee holds out, this guy is gonna be a great surprise.
That's true and untrue at the same time...if you don't practice what you're best at you won't get any better at it and there's ALWAYS room for improvement no matter how good you are at something. Growth is important as well by acquiring new skills but maintaining/improving the ones you have is just as important. If you want to get better you don't practice what your best at.
That's my reported post reactionI'll admit that when he caught that TD, I was pretty much like this guy.
