Seriously though, when Dez comes back, he's just gonna find out what the other WRs have been dealing with since Romo's departure from the field. Nothing will chance until Romo"s return. Dez needs Romo as much any of the other players.

Disagree. I think Dez is a great receiver who will do well with any competent quarterback who can get him the ball. Is he much better with Romo? Sure, but he's not just any receiver, even without him.

If Cassell can get him the football, it will be a big help to this struggling offense.

I would expect them to give him routes in this upcoming game that put he least stress on that foot (i.e. A slant breaking left is different from a slant breaking right in terms of which foot is under the most pressure).

If being the operative word. If Cassel throws up a wounded duck like he did on his pass that was intercepted in the endzone, not even Dez is going to make a difference.

Sarcasm...

lol... well then.. I still think he was not showing quite the same burst in the video's, but these are just some basic reps, not even 7 on 7. I'm sure he will be fine either way. I don't really expect him to be 100% yet. They can just cater his routes to what he can do right now. I would think the hitch and hook routes would be the most difficult since you need to turn plant and drive in a short amount of space and then potential turn hard back up field after you catch the ball.

I hope Seattle's defense doesn't guess the same thing...and be correct. If he can't run all the routes, then just sit him. He is not ready.

Running patterns is a good thing, but nothing stresses that foot more than being in on a play and needing to block and/or push another player out of the way. I think he looks good for this far along, but expecting the same Dez Bryant as last year right away is probably a bit too optimistic at this point. But Dez at 80% is better than what we have now. Just don't want him to reinjure the foot or injure another body part compensating for the foot.

One thing I count on Dez to do is to fight for the ball. This isn't to absolve Cassell for that one awful punt/throw, as I think if it was a good pass, Williams scores, but I think Dez would have fought DRC for that pick six ball a lot better than the effort Williams gave.

:laugh:disagree all you want. I never said Dez isn't a great receiver. He can't throw it to himself and Cassel can't throw it to him enough because in doing so, he throws it to the other team too often. Dez's return won't change things but you go ahead and keep clinging on to your false hope.

I hope they do not have to cater his routes. Granted, Dez at 80% is better than any receiver we currently have on the roster, but he may also be more susceptible to further injury.

"False hope". Yeah, how can one of the best receivers in the league possibly help an offense?

This is great news. We need him. If he wasn't playing, I'd put our hopes on beating Seattle at about slim and none. With him, our offense definitely has a fighting chance, even just for the sake of having to account for him.

I agree. I think we would have won the Gents game as well had he played. Cassel will be better this week IMO as well now that he has his feet wet. They just need to reel him in a tad, which they will, and he will IMO. Gonna be fun!

Boy are you in for some disappointment. That Dez dude ain't the savior of this team. We won't get another win until Romo returns with the possible exception of Tampa Bay.

You forgot to type "\sarcasm" at the end of your statement. ;)

His wingspan alone would have stopped that from being a pick
