Someone go take his hover board away while he's in surgery.

True story: my girl's dad does contract work for Clayton Kershaw. He was even at his wedding. Kershaw had a little motorbike he liked to drive around. Someone from the Dodgers came and took it, and was like "NOPE!"

I think it's pretty safe to say at this point that the team/he himself rushed back from the initial injury too quickly, as many suspected.

Surgery? Again? This guy is injury prone and...

Wait. Dang. This isn't a Sean Lee thread.

Nevermind.

3 surgeries on the same foot in a few months and he's just going to bounce right back to form, right?

Here's hoping both surgeries go well. I'm not giving up on Dez like some. I believe he can be an integral part of the Cowboys offense, even the focal point if he's ever used right. He's a great RAC guy when used properly. We need to get back to that.

Yea...good point...just like Julio Jones...

"Jones' injury was similar to the one he suffered at the NFL combine in 2011 a couple of months before the Falcons made a blockbuster trade with Cleveland to move up in the draft and take him No. 6 overall.

This time, an orthopedist removed the first screw that had been inserted but had been bent. A larger screw was used instead. Bone marrow was removed from his hip and injected into his foot to aid cell"

Oh wait....nevermind.

I believe, quietly, the Cowboys are extremely concerned about that foot's ability to return to form. That's three surgeries to a very delicate bone structure.

He may never be the same, I wish he the best. We need to get Treadwell at #4 in this draft just in case.

Julio Jones was kept off it for months to let it heal.

For me, speaking for myself, I was probably on bed rest with no weight-bearing for probably two months. That’s before I was even able to go out and run or anything.

Dez was playing football games in the NFL within 2 months and re-injured it.

And yet he still had 2 surgeries and made a full recovery.
I'm not sure what the debate is really...
Is it your assumption that this type of injury is the type that players cannot or are unlikely to make a full recovery from? If so is there any evidence to support this?

They can make a full recovery, but risk of reinjuring it is quite high. Google it.

Dez needs to be traded for someone that can really be a help to the offense... a Jordy Nelson type guy.
