Dez Bryant-WR- Player Apr. 6 - 8:42 pm et

One scout picking for a team after the Dolphins at No. 12 acknowledged that the criticism of Dez Bryant has been overblown.

Bryant has never been arrested, and the scout believes his game film speaks for itself. While Oklahoma State coaches have conceded that Bryant is "gullible and had time-management issues," they maintain that he is not a character problem. According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, Bill Parcells "loves being a mentor" and is "very close" with Bryant's agent, but the Dolphins may not be willing to "pull the trigger."

HMMM, could this be where the rumor of cowboys trading with miami for their 12th slot comes in, and cowboys either taking dez or another player, and then if dez is still there at 27, miami takes dez?

Parcells is "very close" to Eugene Parker? First I have heard of that. Now if Bryant was represented by Jimmy Sexton, I could understand.

EDIT: Nevermind. Parker was Curtis Martin's agent, so I can see it now.

It is risky and will really need a lot to fall into place to happen, but it is intriguing. I could even see the Dolphins taking the player we really covet at 12 and then we work to get them Bryant later. Otherwise it takes a lot to expect he will automatically slide all the way down. A lot of moving parts and a little crazy, but it is fun to think about. I could see Barber or Spears factoring in somehow as part of the swapping.

This is the type of cooperative effort I have expected for a couple of drafts now. Jerry Jones gave them a good bit of consideration in the Fasano/Ayodele/Ferguson deals so it might be time for a little payback.
