This is exatly the reason why you DON'T cut Williams after this year

So you don't cut an overpriced player out of fear another player could get injured?

I hope that's the end of him returning kicks. Unnecessary pounding

This season just keeps finding new ways to suck, but at least we won

It stinks that he'll miss 4 games but at least we know he'll heal up and be ready for OTAs. Great season from the rookie and we know we have a star.

His contract is 5 million next year, not 9 million, fair priced for a starter and a number two.

Happy that it's not a muscle or ligament injury.

Get well soon Dez.

Dangit, this sucks.

Dez is electrifying returning kicks but thats the downfall of kick returns, injuries. Dangit.

The problem lies in the fact he's not the #2.

I didn't see the actual play, was it pretty bad looking?

No. Tackler fell on his ankle as he was being brought down. Initially, I thought it would be another high-ankle sprain. Didn't look gruesome, so it's not the dreaded compound fracture but more serious than a hairline fracture since he couldn't put any weight on it leaving the field.

Hopefully he recovers intime for off season workouts, if there are any.

How long is the recovery time on this type of injury?

He will probably be ready to start training sooner then if he would of sprained it.

This is bad.

That's why I'm not big on our starting WR's returning kicks and punts.
