If Dez has to sit out a while, Butler should be afforded a golden opportunity to better himself in the eyes of the staff and the team. He'd better make the most of it if he really plans to make pro football his long term career. Failing to fight for the ball and retain it in a crowded situation shouldn't be his calling card if he wants to find success in the future. Let's hope he'll finally step up his game convincingly and make the grade. Now's the time.

Nobody will give him number 1 money, but look at the contract Tavon Austin received (admittedly, he's a bit more dynamic than TWill, but his stats are not #1 level). 4yr 42mil, 30 guaranteed.

If TWill puts up around 850 and 7-9 TDs this year, he'll get something close to that.

No way. Bease had taken alot of his looks.

Maybe you're right, we will see. NFL contracts are inflated and TWill has the numbers to get paid.

But you bring up a good point, Beas is eating into his production, but that's why I qualified it with Romo's return :)

I think TWill is the number 4 option on a run first team. Will be tough to get any numbers

Man I wish we could have locked him up already.
Not me.

We already have too many guys we have re-contracted with by extensions based on potential and they are flatlining.

Crawford comes to mind there.

We have to pay based on performance..

not projected performance.
