Dez Injury - Any Details yet?

Has anybody from the Cowboys front-office confirmed whether Dez's injury is a Jones fracture or not?

Are they still saying 4-6 weeks?

I see TONS of speculation in the media that it is a Jones fracture and a 6-8 (or 8-12 in some cases) week injury, however, nothing concrete from the Cowboys.

Inquiring minds want to know.

I doubt you hear anything more going forward. Until around week 6 or so to update where he stands. If I were the team I would intentionally keep quiet on it. The message for the team should be. He's not here so we're not going to worry about when or if he's coming back. Let's move on and focus on what this team is going to do without him. And when/ if he does come back. It's like a new addition to the team.

This morning on NFLN they played a clip from Jerry. Said the surgery went well, and Dez will be able to do conditioning work in 2 to 3 weeks. Did not say if still 4 to 6 weeks, or if he did, i didn't hear it. Said everything looks good.

Well, it's a good sign that Dez hasn't been put on IR-Designated to return. The Front Office made the mistake of doing that last year with DeMarcus Lawrence and he was ready to come back earlier than IR-DTR.

I could see him coming back after the Bye week and playing at NYG.

Julio had the screw that was already in his foot snap and that's why he was done for the season.

I know. I pulled it from ESPN's page...it seems everything ESPN puts out about the Dez injury paints a doom and gloom scenario. It's quite comical.

I half a apology to make to Dez.
When I saw him go into the tunnel I mumbled "drama queen," thinking it was only mild dehyndration. When I learned it was a broken bone I feel bad. The re-heated ribs and beer made me feel better later.

this was the same injury that demarcus Lawrence had last year. they put him on ir to return and wished they hadn't however its going to be sometime before he is back so this team has to figure out how to win games without him or it wont matter when he comes back because their season will already be over

Well, every situation is different. Just because I threw a timetable out there, doesn't mean if that was the case they'd be rushing him back.

Dez is their big money man....I don't see the medical staff screwing this one up.
