That's because you cheerleaders pass it off as "schtick".
Schtick this. Dak Prescott is not nor will he ever be a franchise QB and I hate every single second I see him under center for the Dallas Cowboys.
I don't know how I can say it more clearly.
Not because he's the worst player in the world but because he's not elite and this is the future at QB of the Dallas Cowboys we're talking about here. I want the QB to be the make up to cover the blemishes of the team not the team having to cover up the acne of the QB.
I'm hopeful (and optimistic) that Dak can improve his accuracy and figure out where to put the ball for Dez... but he may never be the pure passer everybody wants him to be. Still, he's a baller and I think he can be good enough to win it all.
Why is it you assume Dak has reached his ceiling? I can understand your desire for him to be better but for a 2nd year qb who everyone thought was a developmental type it would seem you have zero patience for him. Dak does a ton of things well already. He is a high character kid by all accounts and is a grinder. Do you ever think one day you will realize Dak actually improved and he can make that pass now or do whatever you said he couldn't. I mean you treat him like a five year veteran who has capped out, and for what? to be right?
You have a lonnnnggggg decade in front of you my friend. That's because you cheerleaders pass it off as "schtick".

Tony Romo made sMiles Austin, Laurent Robinson and Dez Bryant all multi-millionaires. He was an incredibly WR-friendly QB.
Dak's strengths are in game management, his legs, and overall leadership/demeanor. He may eventually develop a rapport with Dez (I hope he does), but his downfield and intermediate passing at present do not match Dez's strengths.

What, because you alone think he sucks, even when the evidence points the other way, that the masses of us real fans have to agree otherwise we're cheerleaders? UhhhThat's because you cheerleaders pass it off as "schtick".

No. He'll never be an elite passer. He doesn't have the skills for it. He lacks arm talent.
I appreciate Romo explaining the problem between Dez and Dak without really laying the blame on either. Dak simply isn't playing to Dez's strengths yet, which is what several here have pointed out in the past. It took Romo a while to build trust to put the ball where Dez can win it so who knows when or if Dak will get there.
So by the same notion, what your saying here is that Wentz is not a franchise QB. Since he evidently could not make last years receiving corp better, the Eags had to go out and totally revamp their receiving corp from FA and the draft. When you have a franchise QB he enhances the effectiveness of the WRs. He makes them better.
I hope people pick up on what you're really trying to say here.

It's primarily a placement issue. Dak seems to prefer leading the receiver either up the field or back into the field instead of setting it where Dez can stop and go up and get it. Like Romo not being particularly good at throwing the end-zone fade (he was much better at throwing the back-shoulder near the goal line), Dak just doesn't seem to be comfortable with this throw.

I'm actually as worried or more worried about TWills health to be honest. Any news on him?Apparently only 4 people like that Bryant's ankle injury isn't serious.

Every qb has things he’s good at. Tony never really mastered the fade in the back of the end zone . Dak may never have the chemistry with Dak down the field but I hope we keep seeing dez used across the field as we have some lately. Those down field 50/50 throws just aren’t dak’s strength but get the ball in dez hands and let him run by using crossing routes and slantsI appreciate Romo explaining the problem between Dez and Dak without really laying the blame on either. I’ve always felt dez just needs the ball in his hands and those routes are high percentage throwsI am happy that the coaches have Dez running more crossing routes. The throws from Dak didn't seem overly forced yesterday.
Hopefully he and TWill are good to go
