At least IMO anyway. Dez is a pretty solid dude in my book. I think he plays the game as hard as it can be played and to the utmost of his ability. Truth is I just never thought he was all the smart , was never going to be a guy that could run a full route tree because he simply didnt have the intelligence to do so.

Having said that,....... he was still an outstanding W.R in his day and one that gave all he had. Gotta respect that. Im o.k with Dez being cut. Not happy about it like some are,.... but Im O.k with it. It was simply his time. The truth is the number one problem with this team is Garrett. I cant tell you how much I cant stand his offensive philosophy and game day adjustments. Simply put,... they are atrocious. Been saying it for 5-6 years now. On top of that the guy is a total fraud,... a fake. In plain English the guy is a puzz who likes to PRETEND he is hard when clearly is is the furthest thing from it. As a life long fan I think Ive earned the right to say that it will be a GREAT day when that fool is FINALLY removed from the building. Wont be long either,... Im thinking after this next season is over. Until then we will simply bide our time. But IT IS coming,... make book on that! Cant give a specific example off the top of my head,... just things I have heard him say in the past. Things that make you kinda question his thinking. I do respect him as a player though. Never questioned his will or desire.

I think you hit the nail on he head with that bolded sentence above.

Many coaches will tell you the games are won with preparation and the work put in during the week. By many accounts, that's when Dez struggled to be consistent and work his azz off.

Dez has the size and talent to be a very good WR. In my opinion, it's his lack of maturity and concentration that holds him back. It's just too easy for defenders to get in to his head. His lack of speed doesn't help either...
