Dez is returning punts

It's looking more and more like Miles is not coming back this week. He hasn't even practiced yet. If Dez gets hurt back there.. that leaves Robinson, Ogletree, and Holley.

You play the if game too much and you end up watching the playoffs instead of being in the playoffs. Dez is a game changer in returning of punts. His risk of injury is not that great no more than as a WR

I really don't like this move, but I understand it. Use the best at what they do best. And hope for the best...

To me it is a no brainer just as Dallas did with Deion. You got a big playmaker capable of being a true threat in the return game then you use him. Maybe not every time but when you need to make something happen you go with guys who can make it happen

I agree 100%.

I think Garrett is building a team that works in favor of which player can do this or do that.

I like it.!

I like the backups, too.

I really don't think Dez runs any higher risk of injury returning punts than he does as a WR.

I agree...

Use the players that want to play. If that is Dez and the coaches ask him to do it...hell yes!

;)

I'm not saying that their playing styles or athleticism/reminders are similar but as far as roles, yeah
This is the first thing I thought when we got Dez Bryant
He is a great punt returner
Shame to not have him do that

Tim Brown was a great WR and returned punts consistently for years
Dez Bryant is good enough to handle both full time
Let him loose

Ok with this 'best man' philosophy.
Should we put Miles in as KR?

No, because Felix is at least equal to Austin as a kick returner, so we don't have a reason to put a starter in that role.

Fans seem to be giving up on Felix in that role before he really even has a chance to make it his. His TD return came before the wedge rule change and he hasn't had a lot of opportunities since then, so I think he needs some time to get adjusted to that before that guy who had the TD return and was a remarkable kickoff returner in college emerges again.
