He was great as a rookie with Jon Kitna...

fair enough.

But after this years performance. I am a little concerned about the investment the Cowboys made in him.

he had a bad year......okay, okay. some bizarre "Dez" beavhiour. okay okay...

I'll give him a pass....not like we have much of a choice now.

Right now all I want from Dez is less talking and more doing. I know he was not 100% but many of his drops were inexcusable. I think highly of Dez but he is paid to be elite and I expect nothing less. People can save the excuses, time for him to shut up and put up that is what he is paid to do and paid damn well I might add.

This is why the number one priority in the first round of the the draft should be to try and get Treadwell.

What has Romo won to be asking this question?

Romo makes average WRs look good. Dez didnt exactly perform well this year.

But thats also a good point. Romo and Witten are in my top 5 fav players ever. But as leaders of the team, they havent done much. It just hasnt worked out for them. Plenty of "greats" never make the Super Bowl. -- JUst bad luck, timing, etc etc.

Julio Jones had the same injury and it took months for him to even walk properly.

Julio came back just fine, and then some, but he didn't rush it. Hakeem Nicks had the same injury in 2012, and then had ankle issues in 2013 and was never the same. His play fell off a cliff.

I feel like rushing Dez back for this dumpster fire of a season was a huge mistake, and I am not sure that we can count on Dez coming back to his old form.

At least he has a monkey to fetch him stuff from bed.

Idk anything about this to speculate, but I own a blue Romo jersey, a white Dez jersey, and yesterday I bought a color rush Dez jersey at the game. So I need him to get his stuff together lol

and that's another thing. why is the Dallas 'color rush' jersey WHITE? the last i checked, white isn't even a color... just sayin'.

I think DEZ will be back with Romo a Back up QB a better running game and a good attitude !!!!!!

I don't think Dez was ever what Fans thought he is or was. don't get me wrong, he's a very good receiver, but he's not a big time elite receiver, more of a second tier physical possession type receiver who doesn't get off the line well, has long speed, not quick speed, he's taken out of games too often with the jawing with defensive backs and loses focus when he's not part of the offense early and often..

Dez may be forced to retire tomorrow. Dez may lead the league in TDs next season. There...I think we have it all covered.

Why am I not surprised...

You sure seem more concerned about things that other people post. Why are you so worried about what strangers on the interwebz say? All your posts are about other posts.

I don't really care about Dez as long as his injury is fully healed and he can run and jump without pain or discomfort. I care more about Tony's health; his ability to get Dez the ball is more critical than Dez running precise routes and creating separation -- something he was never really great at anyway.

I'm more concerned about his little tantrums and the fact he clearly mailed it in after Romo left.

I am too. But I expect Dez to continue along his maturity path and get back to normal next year with Romo back in the saddle. That foot waa never "right" both mentally or physicslly when he returned.

The question is... When Romo goes down again (and it will happen), will Dez become the leader we need in that offensive huddle to bridge the gap or will he just randomly fly off at the handle again and let opposing CBs take him out of his game? I like Dez and have to believe the former. He will not be an issue next year.

For a 2 year stretch, before the injury, he was one of the best receivers in football. He fell off a cliff.

Hakeem Nicks? He had a 6 year career and topped 1000 yard just twice and finished with just over 5000 career yards. Lucky for Nicks he was on a short cliff so when he fell he didn't have to worry about getting hurt.
