I agree with you. I can see Dez following the Nicks path moreso than the Julio one. We should have put Dez on IR. He just does not have the same explosiveness and may never get it back. Nicks didn't.

He should not have been rushed back. That is absolutely certain.

But, that said, I think he will heal up and he'll be ready to go next season.

I don't think Dez was ever what Fans thought he is or was. don't get me wrong, he's a very good receiver, but he's not a big time elite receiver, more of a second tier physical possession type receiver who doesn't get off the line well, has long speed, not quick speed, he's taken out of games too often with the jawing with defensive backs and loses focus when he's not part of the offense early and often..

thats the truth. That guy is unreal. Thats an elite WR.

I still think Dez could be elite..... But, one year after "all the money", analysis = not good. I still think he has that potential though. Not sure if he will ever be consider a "great" though.

Julio Jones had the same injury and it took months for him to even walk properly.



Julio came back just fine, and then some, but he didn't rush it. Hakeem Nicks had the same injury in 2012, and then had ankle issues in 2013 and was never the same. His play fell off a cliff.

I feel like rushing Dez back for this dumpster fire of a season was a huge mistake, and I am not sure that we can count on Dez coming back to his old form.

I agree with this. And I also understand that the Dez lovers don't appreciate anything that could be considered negative toward Dez. People get really offended...as if we called their baby ugly. I too think he is a very, very good receiver. Excellent, in fact. IMHO, I think he gets into the top 10 receivers in the league. But he's closer to # 10 than he is # 5. Top 10 is certainly pretty good. Its the coaching staff's job to figure out ways of getting him the ball more. They have done a poor job of figuring out how to maximize his talent.

He will be fine. Hakeem Nicks is fat and slow and not even close to Dez talent. At 70%, Dez was clearly better than most everyone on the field.

Ummm no he wasn't. He was terrible when he came back. At 70%, Dez is not effective at all.

lots of people are great in High School and College. Lots of people. Al Bundy was awesome in high school!!! lol.

Dez is being paid like an Elite WR and we have allocated a great deal of money and trust towards him.

I dont think he is "all that", at the professional level, without an Elite QB.

But I get it, Dez is a proven professional. And I am being opinionated here......

but, I think Dez got paid. I think thats what he has been working for and behaving for , for a long, long time now. And he finally got it. He GOT PAID.
