Makes little sense. It's based on the fact that his best days are behind him, and it's magnified by the fact that he's too expensive. But it makes little sense to not appreciate the player for reasons like that.

However you look at it, it's a boatload of touchdowns.

I agree. I don't get into the Dez debate anymore. Its looking more and more like yes, his play doesn't warrant the contract. Which is a fair point. But to just completely pretend like this feat isn't a accomplishment? Its a embarrassment for this fanbase. He's not even 30 yet and broke this record.

I have mixed emotions with Dez record catching TD. Bullet Bob was one of my first fav players with the Cowboys as a kid. He truly changed the game. I would have rather someone like Witten have broken it. But it’s like many of the passing records being broken in a pass happy era. Not as meaningful.

You're allowed to do whatever you want. I was just wondering your reason. I never seen someone break a record and heard someone say "I wish another player on this team would've broken it....". Just seems odd to me.

Dez, in his prime, was a consistent top 5 WR in this league. I truly believe that. Congratulations to Dez.

Now, is he top 5 now? No way. Is he overpaid at this point in his career all things considered? I would say yes.
