I am curious how you guys think Dez will perform next year. Quantify it however you like. Yards, TDs, drops, targets, meltdowns on the sideline. Monkeys purchased. Lawsuits. Whatever, and why.

I will get my prediction out there first.

1. I hope Dez is gone but I can't predict that since Jerry has a soft spot for Dez.

2. My best guess is that Dez gets to stay with no pay cut since that is pretty much the worst case scenario. Dez targets stay about the same. He will end up with about the same amount of yards as he did this year with us continuing to force feed him the ball. About the same amount of TDs and first downs.

3. His drops will increase. His cancer factor will go up dramatically. He will start to show his true colors and pile on Dak. His meltdowns and frustration factor will increase based on the eyeball test and it will start showing up in the media.

4. The pressure will mount for Dez and he will feel it unless he has better success early on in the season because the media are going to start piling on him like crazy.

That's what I expect to happen. I will be pleasantly surprised if we cut Dez or if he sticks around and proves me wrong and becomes an all pro. I don see that happening.

Great...another Dez hating thread poorly disgused...

Just what this place needs...

Evaluation/prediction doesn't equal hate. You love Dez. How well do you expect him to perform next year. Are you predicting a come back "all pro" year out of him?

Are you predicting another bad year because of someone else? I'm curious what you guys really think. I don't think deep down even his proponents believe he is going to snap back.

I'm not calling you out either. I just want to know how much the fan base REALLY believes Dez still has it in him.

Depends on Dak and the coaching staff.

Well, lets quantify that. Does that mean if Dez has a down year that we can blame it on the rest of his team?

I think Dak played average this year. Some good play and some below average play too. I'm sure some of the below average play hurt Dez as well as the rest of the receivers.

How do you quantify that?

I don't want to predict how next season will go for him because I thought that he would bounce back this past season.

Dez needs a boost to get back on track. :muttley:

If he stays I predict he gets back to double digit touchdowns and will have better chemistry with Dak, provided he remains healthy.

First of all, all of the numbers for our receivers were down. It's not just Dez. It doesnt make sense unless you have a common denominator who's playing awful.

I often schedule a text message to send at a later date, I think some of these posters schedule Dez hate thread to be posted at a later time.

Verdict has about 30 of them scheduled to hit, 1 every week until the season starts. Lol

My prediction - Dak will either step up and play QB or he will curl up in a ball and Dez will go down the drain with him!

Dez needs touches early in games or else his focus/intensity drops off. The OC needs to do a better job of dialing up high percentage plays that gets the ball on his hands. Not saying this will cure all, but it would certainly help. Dez is far from a polished receiver but he still is a physical beast.

This thread is about predictions about Dez.

Another Verdict Dez thread...

Any predictions on how Dez will fare this year? Are you predicting a pro bowl year? A quiet resurgence? He will remain poor, but it will be someone else's fault? Do you predict the sun will be in his eyes on every play? I'm just kidding about the last one.

I know you appreciate Dez more than I do which is fine. I respect that. I disagree with it but respect the right to your opinion.

Serious question. In your opinion is Dez worth requiring the team to placate him by getting him involved early in the game, whatever it takes?
