It would probably be better to let Dak draw up plays in the huddle scratched into the turf with a stick. Our best plays when Romo is playing is usually when he goes schoolyard. JG is just ruining our young players and wasting even more careers.

Or realize that the gameplan isn't working after a while. Or save him up for the 4th quarter and change up what you're doing with him (Arians does this with Fitzgerald all of the time).

I could see during the game that the G-men were going heavy on Dez and that the gameplan was to go to Beasley...which was working. Then we get away from it and start going to Witten on screens and pivot routes.

I love Witten as much as anybody. But, for 14 years we can't figure out that pivot routes and screen plays are not his game. I don't blame Witten, I blame the doofus coach with the Ivy League education who still tries to fit that square peg into the round hole.

Instead of trading Dez how about we just get rid of this lame duck head coach and get a real offensive mind in here.
That's my first choice. Little Jerry is horrible as a coach. I think I may have misrepresented myself yesterday. I don't want to trade Dez now but if Romo retires and we go into full blown rebuilding then I think the only veteran we have that could get trade value is Dez, which under those circumstances I'd trade him for a #1 or #2. Or if that foot injury limits him the rest of his career and reduces him to an above average player and someone comes along and offers us 2, 1st rounders, then I'd do. But I want to see what he does this year to see if he can return back to the pre injury Dez. But I don't want to trade him. I have his jersey and wear it for good luck.

We don't suck at making adjustments, we simply don't them and hope that what is not working will work eventually.

What's the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Safe to say we have an insane coach and an insane owner/GM.

I think the opposing defenses do this because they know if he is doubled, we usually don't throw to him. It's their way of dictating how we run our offense. They much rather we try to beat them with Witt and Bease then Dez taking over games. They are betting that when we dink and dunk, we will eventually make a mistake.

Good way to be objective about it. As easy as it seems to blame staff, Dak also needs to see the field. He'll only get better as season goes along.
The easy thing is to blame the rookie qb not being comfortable throwing to a guy that looks covered. Let the best wr in the game at winning 50/50s win those 50/50s. You only blame the coaching after a game like that if you already have an agenda.

I bet a lot of that single coverage is with a safety over the top so it's cover 1, but it will function as doubling Dez.

And 21 go routes on 44 plays is ABSURD.

Blows my mind how we utilize our talent, sometimes.

Dez has become the most expensive Decoy in the NFL.even after all this i wont be surprised if they do it all over again against the Skins because frankly they have no clue on how to use him .If Belicheck had Dez(remember they we traded with them for Dez)he would have not lost those 2 SBs.

Do they just run dez on go routes because they don't trust him to run the right routes or what. You can just say they are uncreative. But these are still nfl coaches. There has to be a true thought process behind it.

if he takes 2 defenders, that leaves 4 on 4 or 5 (sans QB). usually opens up a zone from someone (Witten or Beas) to sit in.

Diminishes odds for a PI flag, likely not going to be a splash play - requires low margin for error to sustain drives.

Yes. Blaming the staff for some questionable decisions in a loss can only happen if you have an agenda.

LOL.

Let's note that you didn't even comment on the actual data in this thread that would call into question some of the offensive play calls. Instead you showed up to tell people that if they question the coaches they essentially aren't good fans.

Nicely done.

Some on here are equipped with that.

Agenda? The play calling is what it is.

Dez did get his hands on two jump balls in the endzone, different story if he comes down with them.
