Dez separation stat

You're a freaking broken record, bringing every thread down to thrash Dak.

We get it. You hate him. Find a new bit.

You don't have to keep blasting him to prove it. Heck, at this point, you've joined MattJames and Risen in the Dak Haters Hall of Fame.

I know it’s hard that the stats don’t support your Dez bashing..

his separation is right there with the best of them, meaning number 1 WRs, in fact better..

In before our resident group of Dez haters led by xwalker come tell you why any stat where a Dez and Julio are close is not relevant...

Here we go again..
It is a non-sense stat. It would be incredibly difficult to measure and would take a long time to adjust/scale the video or still frame to get even remotely accurate. They are claiming to do it for all WRs...

Nice try. I haven't said one word about Dez in this thread. But to stay on target, I don't feel he's a #1 or worth the cap space.

And, your unabashed love of Dez and equally blind hatred of Dak kind of proves, to me, that you can't be level-headed in your evaluation.

Essentially, Dez isn't nearly as great as you think, and Dak's not nearly as bad as you think.

So what? You bash Dez all the time, like I’m bashing Prescott’s play.. I can say the same thing about your objective ness in regards to Dez..

Reality is the scouting reports of Dak’s flaw are here this season in particular.. I still like Dak, but I’m not sugarcoating is play..

So both of your opinions' are kinda in the middle?

You're nuts. I barely talk about Dez, other to say that he's not a #1.

Now, #31? I'm really on him, but he's so bad that I'm done complaining about him.

How would you ever measure this accurately? I tried importing images into a CAD program to messure OL spacing but getting an accurate measurement is very difficult and would take several minutes per catch to scale for a seim-accurate measurement.

According to next gen stats they have sensors on the players (and possibly the ball, not sure) and multiple devices around the field to record their exact positions in real time. It's also how they know exactly how fast the players are running, how long it takes for a QB to throw the ball after the snap etc...

From the website: NFL player tracking, also known as Next Gen Stats, is the capture of real time location data, speed and acceleration for every player, every play on every inch of the field. Sensors throughout the stadium track tags placed on players' shoulder pads, charting individual movements within inches.

It has nothing to do with video

And for anyone wondering the average for the NFL is 2.74 yards. You can actually look at it on a per game basis, although they only show catches. They include a little graph showing how much each receiver had on average for his catches during the game. It's part of the game wrap up when you click on the scores, tab is all the way to the right. It's how I know our receivers aren't blanketed and the other team's aren't running free, some of the other team's top receivers have very little separation per catch.

Dez does get separation on short to intermediate in cutting routes. He just doesn't get much on deep sideline routes due to lack of elite speed.

This is why I don't understand why the coaching staff hasn't used him more on the slants and digs and less on the go routes. That's just crazy.

So all those players listed are in between 90-125? Some pretty good players there...
Players having good, great, and not-so-good seasons are scattered all up and down the list. Mosher's point is to show those who claim Dez has lost a step that he gets just as much separation as some selected great WR, which is 100% true, fwiw.

Let your eyes be the judge.....
If Dez is getting such separation, they why is everybody screaming about Dak not throwing him the jump balls just like Dez likes them? Throwing them to what Dez does best.

Turn your TV on right now, you can see what real separation by an NFL WR looks like. Heck you'll even see an elite WR beat double coverage.

Dak is the problem. Dak. He can't throw accurately consistently. Everyone needs to just stop it.

Dez and Beasley would be shredding it on any other team with a quality QB. They are non factors with Dak.

Is this is a measure of their separation the moment the ball leaves the QB's hand towards them, or is it the greatest distance at any point in their route? If it's the first, then the QB can account for the misperception. If they don't throw on time, throw to the wrong spot, or with too much touch, that separation could be gone by the time the ball arrives.

Just saying. How does this even happen. Truly pathetic

Real separation

How many yards to go in both shots?

I don't know if you're talking about me - but I'm most definitely a Dak fan. Hell he's even the QB I wanted and selected for my fantasy team, and while I was wildly off on my prediction, I said before the beginning of the year when Zeke was to be suspended Dak would shut up the haters once and for all.
