Penultimate is next to last series. That's what Dez was referring to.

And he is right about that even though his hissy fits were wrong. We got a first on PI then ran twice leading to a 3rd and 12. We should have passed on first and/or second and iced it.

It is refreshing to see two young guys from either side of the ball go out there and back it up on the field. You know those two are gonna bring it every week, unlike some other leaders who tweet pictures of ferocious lions before the game and proceed to go out and do nothing.

Running the ball was exactly the right thing to do in that situation. We simply did not execute. There was absolutely zero reason to put the ball up there. If we run it and we have no penalties, we probably get a FG and are up by 6, leaving Detroit with something around 30 seconds and no TOs. That was exactly the right way to go but we screwed it up by stopping the clock. That killed us. Left too much time and it came back to bit us in the Butt. There are places where you can point and say we should have done this instead of that but I can't fault the strategy on our last offensive drive. It would have worked had we not, once again, committed self inflicting wounds. JMO

If they were both QBs, then I might agree with this more. Since one is a WR and the other is one of the best QBs to ever play this game, I am forced to ask, "Mike Freeman, what in the name of Zeus could you possibly be thinking about?" This comment is straight up stupid.

To throw the ball there would have been stupid. But I understand Dez' point; he's just wrong.

He won't do this again this year, I predict. He'll think twice next time.
