I hope they can make it work somehow with Hardy. It would be nice to go out and try to improve the team instead of just plugging the holes we created in the off-season.

Please stop.

Yes. There is absolutely no evidence that Hardy isn't still a great DE.

People here complained for years about how Demarcus Ware never got sacks when it matters. At least he freaking got sacks! Hardy gives us six over 12 games? That's 1.4 million dollars a sack.

Great value.

So just to be clear. They can be screwed up, crazy, and do dumb things as long as the team they're on wins Superbowls and they're part of that?

If not then when they screw up and do the same stupid stuff you're going to bash them?

That's not hypocritical in the least.

Yes it is hypocritical and I see your point but I respect quite a few posters here at the Zone I respect them too much to lie about how I feel. You tolerate much more no matter what the situation is from politics to religion to the less of these things sports. It's human nature to look a blind eye to things that you cheer for. IE we all know the Patriots cheat but how many Pats fans do you know that say yes we are cheaters no they justify in their minds that the team they cheer for didn't cheat

Fair enough.

If Dallas takes Bosa with the fourth pick, Hardy is history. Bosa is a sure fire hit in the draft for someone. Might as well be Dallas

I respectfully disagree im not a Bosa fan as he would play LDE. If im drafting an end at 4 he's gotta be an RDE. Im hoping we sign a decent vet. Defensive ends take time to develop

Damm, those sound like parting "Thankyou's" to Dez and Romo.
I may be in the minority, but I would re-sign him. And yes, all of this dirty laundry in the press may indeed keep his price to a respectable amount. I would do an incentive laden 3 year deal, that we can get out of without too much damage after one year if the concerns are real and he doesn't change.
I still want the Kaken !

Just saw these being passed around Twitter...look like goodbyes. #4 could be pass rush unless they trust what they saw out of Lawrence late and think Gregory comes back strong.

Probably.

Having said that, the Panthers have had 3 different DL go over 10 sacks over the past 3 year (including Hardy) and you have to wonder if part of his success was the fact that he was playing on a very good defense overall with a good balance across the DL that allowed Hardy to avoid some of the double-teaming that other premier pass rushers are used to because they are the main/only guy on their teams.

Thats very well may be the case as well. I'm sure he benefited some off playing alongside other great linemen. But I still believe he's one of the best pass rushers in the league if he goes back to 2 years ago.

They shouldn't at all. No matter how people felt about Hardy he still was probably our best pass rusher out there. That's a hole the needs to be filled and your best bet is probably at #4.

Charles Haley came as a champ that put the Cowboys over the top.

Hardy is not that guy. Goodbye
