The game still had time on the clock. Unacceptable to just walk off the field like a spoiled brat. Let alone support the whole team walking off. This isn't pick up flag football at the local park. You are a professional. Act like it.

Haha You're right I guess when you are a cowboy you gotta learn to lose with professionalism. Would have much rather seen him out there laughing and asking what the packers players plans were after the game. Give me a break

Time on the clock? All the Packers had to do was kneel down. Only the Cowboys could lose by doing that.

This really shouldn't be an argument. If you're a professional, you remain to the end.
Fans can afford to make relative arguments as such. Players can't.
It's unacceptable for Dez to have left the game. There's no way to justify it.

Dez would have at least 3 TDs and 200+ yards if Romo didnt have a noodle arms, i hope he doesnt resign here not only will it kill our cap but he would waste his career in this team

I wonder what Parcells would have done if a player walked off the field before the game was over?

I've played on a lot of teams, and conduct like this is unacceptable at any level. Dez needs to grow up. That said, I hope he doesn't get benched, even for a couple of series. Maybe Garrett could fine him or something.

Dez will get a pass for his actions, with fans sayings it's ok because he's so "passionate" and "doesn't like losing". Could you imagine if Romo did that? Those very same fans praising Dez would turn around and slam Romo for being a "quitter" and not a "team leader".

So many Dez stans that immediately take his side even if it conflicts with their own views, as long it's Dez he can do know wrong.

Why? What does it matter if he walks to the back early? Give me one good legitimate reason other than "just because".

I think it goes both ways though. Romo was seen yelling at his HC. Switch Romo with Dez, and you have something for talk radio all week.

Romo yelling at Garrett today will get little to no coverage. Dez yelling at Garrett would make CNN.

I think that just comes with being a Cowboy, for example, Dez made ESPN when he did a nice gesture in giving gifts to kids. Did you know that Andre Johnson of the Texans did the exact same thing (has been for 7 years now), yet it got zero coverage on ESPN. It's all about the STAR for the media, as for the fans, well most of them just despise Romo.

Me and Dez have alot in common. We both walked away from the game in the same angry manner.

I feel like Dez is a football fan, and a football player.

Not just a football player, because a football fan gets upset when they lose.

Our team is consisted of players, not fans.

Did you know Andre Johnson also did the same thing this year and walk off the field just like Dez!!!

I agree.

I'm a lot more offended by guys who are all buddy-buddy with the opposition after a loss like this then I am by Dez leaving early.

I didn't mind Dez walking off at all, as a fan at least I know someone cares as much as me. I wish Jerry Jones cared about losing half as much as Dez does, then maybe Jerry would put his big head aside and hire a real front office.

And did you know there's articles on ESPN regarding that very same situation bout AJ?

Also, Dez dang sure didn't help himself when he came into the league with the mother incident, and the mall one as well. While Dez has been known to be involved with trouble previously, Andre Johnson hasn't and is widely recognized as a class act. Whether you think that's fair or not is besides the point.

I actually did know and it was thanks to ESPN.

What you were trying to say is somewhat invalid. Romo yelled at Garrett and plays for the Cowboys and its not getting any coverage.

Dez walked off the field and is getting loads of coverage.

if Dez yells at Garrett, best believe its national news, even if we have no idea what was said (similar to Detroit).

For the record, I'm not absolving Dez from doing what he did. I understand why he did it, but it was NOT the right thing to do.

But it was NOT the right thing for Andre Johnson to do either.

Nor was it the right thing for Romo yelling at his HC.

I do believe if Dez Bryant played for the Texans, this would NOT be national coverage though.

He should have asked Rodgers for his autograph, maybe taken a picture with him doing the Discount DoubleCheck!

I honestly believe there's three reasons to Dez's added attention from the media.

1.) He's a WR, which are mostly labeled as Diva's who only care about me, me, and me (fair or not)

2.) His past problems make him an easy target, and when he slips up it makes him that much easier. Kinda like kicking a dog when it's down, sad, but true.

3.) He's a much more emotional player and his sideline antics are much attention grabbing then say someone like Romo.

And of course he wears the star which just adds on to the coverage he gets. I think a lot of it is unfair criticism towards Dez, but he certainly doesn't help himself one bit. As he gets older I'm sure he'll learn more and more how to handle those situations better.

I gave you a reason. Don't keep asking me for legitimate reasons if you reject the ones I give.
You stay because you're supposed to, because you're a part of a team, because you're a professional, because you're getting paid to be with your team, win or lose, because there's still time on the clock. That's what responsible, professional people do.
This isn't fantasy football or a fan forum. This is real football. And real football players stay until it's over. If the team is going to endure Dez's negatives and costly mistakes and not give up on him, then he owes it to his team to do the same for others on his team.

There was still 1:30 left on the clock. Stay on the sidelines until the game is over like the rest of the team. He's just a whiny spoiled brat who passes it off as being emotional and you guys eat it up.

He's been immature since his days at Lufkin. Why do you think he was drafted as low as he was?

We have a core of "professional" losers. I have no issue with Dez just wanting to get off of that field once it was determined to be over (which it was). I would prefer that over a sideline side show tantrum. If the rest of the team (incl the green head coach) had an ounce of his passion, we would be talking deep playoff run right now.

Again. I get being ticked off after losing. You think he was the only one? How many other players stormed off the field?

With the logic I'm reading, once it is determined the game can not be won, just head to the locker room.

Can't believe people are agreeing with his spoiled brat act. It's getting old.
