Dez Update if interested

He turned down a multi year offer from the Ravens because he wants to prove himself on a 1-year contract so he can cash in on one more big contract.

What a mental midget.

Some of these "multi year" offers are so back loaded that they're essentially 1 year deals anyways. I know it sounds good but it could be 3mil in 2018, 15 mil in 2019 and 15 mil in 2020. He'll never see those last 2 years but the team will still have his rights so he might get released late in fa like this year.

That depends on the reason. Sure, if they did that on purpose then you're right. But do you REALLY believe they drug it out on purpose just to make things more difficult? I don't. How do you know they didn't have a good reason for waiting?
Maybe they felt they needed to wait on the FA situation.
BUZZ...i dont think they purposely did it to hurt Dez per say...but they did want teams free agency money to dry up so less chance he goes to NFC east team....but if somehow he got on Giants and OBJ and Dez....and sheperd and their crush catching tight end?....it would be pure chaos for our backfield

Veterans are going to start adding buyouts so that if the teams do players like DAL did Dez they have to pay a few million

A lot of people on this site say they've heard this or that from a source. I will give my source, she is the cousin of Sterling Shepherd for the Giants and is also the girlfriend of one of Dez's bodyguards. https://www.lmggalleries.com/erikafree/

Dez is turning down opportunities in hopes of signing with the Giants period. He is wanting to get back at the Cowboys.
Thuz proving Exactly why they cut him. He's an emotional midget that loses all reason, judgment and ability once someone is in his head.

What did Dallas "do to Dez"?
They waited until mid April to cut him....... after most teams did their big shopping and already entered Draft prep mode

They knew they were cutting him the day they signed the deal

It made SJones queasy knowing he owed Dez 42m gtd and he couldn't wait to get out of the deal but he had to extend Dez after 2012-2014

That is why they never restructured him or offered him an extension/pay-cut..... they hung him out to dry and scapegoated him after the foot injury

What's wrong with that? I don't think they hung him out to dry. I think he signed big time contract and he didn't produce the way you need to, to make that kind of deal work. If this article is true and he's turning down opportunities to play for the Giants, then money was never a big deal to him anyway.

I agree. Baltimore's offense fits Dez really well.

They certainly have a need. And they definitely had reported interest. It's now reported that Bryant turned down their multi-year offer, apparently to stand around outside Giants headquarters embarrassing himself.

Might as well put a sign next to him that says "FREE".

Dez and his people know something, if the ravens offer was the best and only offer they would have jumped on it but theyve been talking to someone and know what his market is.

If they take Barkley they wont pick up dez, wont be need for that extra WR, they will adjust to more running and protecting Eli..copy our Save romo a few more years strategy.

I don't think so. This looks emotional, not rational.

Just request a 1M bonus due early March each year.
No more adding fake years for salary cap pro-rations that are just team options to make the agent look better

Dez got 42m guaranteed and only ended up getting a total of 45m over 3 years
That last 2 years were for only 25m with no guarantees..... team friendly but still declined in mid April

Teams have a ton of cap space so they probably won't do the huge signing bonuses as much anyways so the players better adapt and get roster bonuses like you said that are due March 1st

I have zero sympathy and frankly, don't care that much.
Enough to post, but that's about it. And it wasn't a very good post either.

I didn't put my usual care into it... I'm sure y'all noticed.

Well you might be right, but somehow I don't think that's it. Jerry really liked Dez, I really don't think Jerry would've done that to him.

Oh yeah.. I think Dez would be great for team morale especially with Eli throwing him the ball. LOL!!! Man... instant entertainment on the sidelines.

Can Dez and OBJ co exist on the field?
Probably not. Both are prima donnas and both are emotionally fragile. I always thought Dez was just passionate but the way he has acted since being cut is more emotional fragility than passion. If he's willing to go to a rebuilding team with an aging QB just to stick it to the Cowboys and he turned down offered money for this, it's plain dumb.
