Dezspicable

I'll say the same thing I said before. If Dez sucks so does every Cowboys player who ever played WR minus Irvin. TOs stay was too short to matter. Dez is EASILY the second best WR this franchise ever had.
You're right Irvin is the best WR this franchise has had but he is the greatest receiver of all time as well. Dez has the tools to be the 2nd best but the orginal 88 and Bullet Bob Hayes were better then Dez

Also lets not forget great QB make some WR be open. Accurate passers make WR look better. Dak is not accurate whatsoever. So its a double edge sword. Sure Dak has to run better routes and get some seperation but accurate good QB place the ball in tight spaces and make you look open for a second. Dak lacks that. So its just not a good fot. Dez will have the worst career numbers he has ever had in the league. Than once that happens we hope we dont lose him mentatily.

So I guess neither was Aikman. His career competion % is 61.5. Dak last year was 67.8%.

Have u ever seen Aikman play? Please tell me you didnt. Please. Troy Aikman was one of the most accurate passers of all time. Troy has more talent in his left pinky than Dak does. Come on people. Please. Stop.

Why why cant you critize a player on this team without people flipping out?

I was born in 1969. I use to tape all the Cowboy games on TV. Have around 20-30 tapes still boxed away. I am talking about overall completion % for a season. If you are gonna use the logic for Dak not being accurate, when he was 67.8% last year throwing passes, then use the same logic for Aikman. Come on people. Please. Stop. Troy was ACCURATE in the playoffs, regular season I gave you his % stats.

What are you talking about? Go read my posts. I have said over and over in the GIants game and this game Dak was overthrowing his recievers. Was forcing passes to Dez. Was not going thru all his reads. You must be new here (and the number of posts you have, I see you are). You are the one flipping out because I don't share your opinion.

In all honesty you should be banned for your title thread alone. Just know that if you are going to play fast and loose with your posts, I have the backing in these parts to regulate (full disclaimer- i have no authority in any capacity in any parts)....first I'ma regulate zekiel's sight-seeing pedestrian ***. That was the dezgrace. You see what you started!

I said this before the season it's time to start utilizing Dez more in the role of a tight end the 10 to 15 yards maybe out of a slot go down push off the safety make the catch and then run.
The only thing Dez loves more than making a catch is running over people after the catch.
I've also said the one thing Dez will not do is leap 3 ft in the air, the last season he did that he got hurt and he knows the body won't allow him to just leap up in the air and come down awkwardly. Romo had the luxury of just chucking it up there whether it was long short inside or outside Dez would just out leap the corner and haul it in he doesn't do that anymore, his body just won't allow it.
So begin utilizing this guy correctly he will be a great weapon but trying to stretch the field is not his Forte.

TO was awesome with the Cowboys. In contrast with Dez, he rarely got a jump ball opportunity because he blew past corners. His routes were clean and he did it all...

Always hated that guy, but boy, dude could get open.

Dez's inability to gain separation vs. good DBs sure isn't anything new.

Our intermediate passing game won't shine as long as that's the case.

These threads are comical. The guy has devoted his entire life to playing football for the Dallas Cowboys. Something very few of us can relate to. Saying Dez struggled is one thing but saying that he's washed-up, isn't giving it his all & suggesting that he give back his salary is just plain stupid. Yes, Dez had a bad game against the Broncos. So did 90% of the team. Heck, Lee, at times, looked out of shape and was taking bad angles. Hey OP, why not start a new thread - 'Lee-thargic'?

Back to Dez...give him Emmanuel Sanders as his #2 and see what kind of a player Dez is. If he struggles, credit will be given where credit is due. If you can't run the ball, and you don't have another receiver that even remotely scares the defense, you're left with a shifted coverage with help over the top on your best WR. That's the formula for shutting down your best WR.

Let me introduce you to Drew Pearson. Mr. Clutch.

If teams are going to continue to defend Dez as they have been, then we may need to get Ryan Switzer on the field more. Teams seem to be shading the single high safety to Dez' side of the field and then they have been using a top corner and LB or safety to double up Beasly. Having Switzer on the filed would allow him to beat a lesser cornerback one on one. We also need to get the ball deep to T. Williams or Brice Butler who will always have one on one coverage.

I agree. We could really use a number two WR that can get quick separation like an Emmanuel Sanders. For whatever reason Garrett likes the bigger outside receivers better.
