the other thing they focus on is Garrett leaving when (not if) the Cowboys lose. They've pretty much already decided the Cowboys have lost this game. It'll be moderately interesting to see how they react if they manage to win. But clearly the talking heads and the interests running the radio and tv shows in town are hoping the Cowboys lose rather than win.

It's not hate, it's not like they have no grounds to say anything. All our guys have to do is spend a couple of nights at home or around town with their family and friends and there is no story.

We have enough distractions with the coaches. Now, even though the trips are no big deal, the media is picking up on it and will make it yet another distraction.

They completely brought it on themselves, and they are grown men, so they should be able to handle it.

Troy Aikman never did this in the bye week, not that I can remember. This is the time for this team to be thinking about how they are going to take it from the NFL-level to the NFL-playoff-level, not lazying around in the sun...

Nate has been given his orders from ESPN...trust me.

It's a part time gig and he wants to hold on to it as long as he can. Another spare "sports" guy will take that time slot soon enough.

It kills me when people say things like this. How exactly do you know that Troy never took a day off? How do you know what his schedule comprised of? This is a big story because it involves Jessica Simpson.

I have taken time off before a pivotal meeting before and it didn't affect my performance. In fact many times it helps you focus. I think players should take 3 or 4 days if they earned a first round bye. Hell let the brain reset, let the body heal. The way people are acting about this you would think that Tony had been spending time in a Tijuana whorehouse getting liquored up and driving around shooting at people.

Sometimes, we have to remember that these guys are not just professional athletes, they are people as well.

Man some guy listens to radio for 10 minutes and assumes that Nate is blasting Tony about his vacation and everybody hate Nate trip now.

They were just discussing this and Nate didn't blast Tony at all. He was mostly defending him. Kevin Kiley was the other guy, but mostly, they were taking calls from callers, who were blasting Romo.

But both agreed, the preception will be that Tony Romo dogged it if he didn't win the game and if Cowboys win the game, nobody will care.
