If Dez were to hold out, DGB could fill the void.

Do we have a policy not to pass on earlier, more highly rated talent?

I have absolutely no problem with DGB at 27, he may be BPA. He's a top 15 talent and a value pick, IMO. He would remove the double team on Dez, and he's depth for Dez in a contract year. DGB is one hell of a red zone target and the fact that his last name is Beckam steals some thunder from the Giants Odell Beckam. :)

Want to help the running game? Tough to stack the Box with Dez, and DGB out there, the guy is 6'6 and runs a 4.45 40.

You guys mad if DGB is the pick at 27?

Nope. Would most likely be the most talented player available at 27.

Most didnt want us to draft Dez in the weeks leading up to the draft in 2010 with huge needs on the OL, but after the pick was made they saw the benifit

Bob McGinn spoke with one NFL scout who noted the Oklahoma staff "vouches" for WR Dorial Green-Beckham.
"They loved the kid," the scout said regarding the members of the Oklahoma football program. "At Missouri, everybody that I talked to loves the kid. From a football standpoint, they'd bring him back 100%. But from a university standpoint he had too many issues." The off-field issues, as the scout put it, include weed, drugs and an altercation with a girlfriend. Teams do value schools' opinions of prospects, especially ones with question marks.Apr 23 - 9:52 AM
