Did 21 get benched for a drive?

We all watched the same game. 21 was playing like an old white turd in the grass. He suddenly got "benched" and Pollard made the best of an opportunity.

Or, JG wanted to give the NFL's highest paid RB some rest......I'm not buying it.

I would say true if they dont do it a couple of times just about every game anyway. This time did feel a little different though .

I didn't get to watch the game but followed the play by play on NFL.COM. I was surprised Pollard was in so early in the game.

The Cowboys standard substitution process at RB is to play the backup a full series at a time.

You're not buying what? That Zeke was given a series off as planned, like has been done the majority of games this year?
As stated above.... everyone's body language said "21's getting punished.". EzE was a different RB upon his return.

In 2016 and 17, it was customary for Zeke to take the third drive off. In 2018, we went to the tap-out breather thing.

Looks like Pollard got the de facto 3rd drive to himself (the 1st drive was the one insta-killed by Zeke fumbling on the second play), so this is business as usual for JG.

This was a full series. I don't think I've ever seen that before.

I got the feeling they wanted to change direction, and try something different, since Zeke wasn't having any success. I don't think I'd say he was benched, so much as the OC made an in game adjustment.

A lot of people saying this is common. Wonder why I never noticed before. Maybe the drives don't usually last very long when he out? Maybe I'm just getting forgetful with age? Maybe I just never really cared who was carrying the ball enough to notice?

benched? Jerry won't allow it and the rest of the staff unable to make decision with out his approval.
but as it has been mentioned they do that often.
