Did anybody else see Wentz's pro day?

The wet ball throws were weird....but remember Aikman had troubles with wet balls too. Everything else was really good. No chance he is there at 4. Goff should be...or Ramsey.

If we believe that he is THE FRANCHISE QB then screw it and goto one nd get him, if not then wait and see. Personally I would go get him

We're too stupid to do that.

We'll wait until the Romo era has ended and sign veterans and stick around the 8-8 mark for awhile.

Meanwhile Wentz is going to be lighting the league up.

Have you given up hope on landing wentz? Odds seem to be in favor of cle taking him at 2

I have.

The Cowboys will have to show initiative to get him and I don't think they will do it unless the stars perfectly align.

He's a bigtime talent that is smart and works hard on and off the field and we are just going to sit back and watch him go to Cleveland or watch a team like Philly move up for him.

Hmm ... I think we'd be stupid to do that. Guess we have a different opinion of what's stupid.

Im just guessing but it's probably because I believe the NFL is all about coaching and QB play and you probably think the entire group is still more important.

With salary cap football I just don't buy that. If you have elite QB's and coaches then you can win year in and year out with teams that would otherwise be terrible if not for the QB.

So when the next bigtime QB like Wentz comes along I think you jump on it.

He looked good. But most people saying he can't read defenses worries me.

You guys are nuts. Wentz is a good prospect, but not a big time QB. He's a lower level QB who has never proven himself against top competition. Not giving up 2 first round picks for that risk

Or just a 4th.

Dallas will get Prescott lynch or most likely cook.

You're right that I don't think you have to have an elite QB to win year in and year out. I do believe you have to have at least a very good one and then have one of the top defenses. With an elite one, I also believe you can have an average D and still win year in and year out ... but that still won't make you good enough to do more than contend to make and compete in the playoffs.

However, I don't believe that we have to panic and chase after Wentz in order to get our next elite QB. I don't even know if Wentz is going to be an elite QB. If he goes at 2, we might be better off ending up with Goff at 4. Or we might be better off skipping both and trying to get Lynch or even Cook.

I understand that you are all in on Wentz, but I think that has clouded your ability to be objective about the player. The possibility of him failing to be anything more than good in the league is a lot higher than you wish to acknowledge. I'm OK with Dallas taking a risk on his talent if he's there at 4, even though I'd rather the pick be spent on another position, but I see no reason to be sold on him as much as you are.

If only QB's in the NFL could get and hold a firm grip on the football before it was snapped, no one would ever have trouble throwing a wet ball. It's a silly test that really doesn't even come close to simulating. Have someone actually snap him the ball from a bucket of water.

That cross field, sideline throw (the drop) was the best throw I have seen him make throughout this entire process though. That's the first time I have been impressed with his arm.
