Did anyone else notice TO open on the Witten 42 yarder?

I don't think so. If you rewatch it, check Flo out on the replay. he definitely started. I think even the Colts would have been caught there. If Flozell hadn't turned and looked at Romo (which was savvy and he probably came close to getting away with it) it would have been clearer.

I will watch it close when the nfl network replays tomorrow. Could you give me an estimate of when it was I don't even remember but I will pay extra close attention if I know when to perk up my bunny ears

I noticed TO open too...there was a safety to TO's left that was a good ways away from him (in the replay, during the catch), but i couldnt tell if the safety maybe had coverage on TO an had already reacted to the throw to Witten and was running towards him.

lol......it was on our last drive, right? You could only tell on the replay they showed.

Right at the very end, just before Gramatica's FG.

Even if the Colts lineman touch their hand on the ground, they can't come back up out of their stance,

I thought Flo was coming up to see what audible Romo was calling, but I could be wrong.

It was good clock management to let the clock run down. You want the FG to be the last play. It would have been better to let one more second go by to avoid having to kick off, but still, it was better than letting the Giants have a Hail Mary.

With more time we could have gotten the ball closer.

We could have still kicked it with :01 left.

I would have felt a lot better if that had been a shorter kick

No doubt...luckily, it looked like it would have been good from 60. I haven't seen a goal post shot of it though, to see how far it cleared the bottom pole.

How? We kicked on fourth down. And the Giants had two timeouts left, so we could have been kicking with 20 seconds left instead of six. That would have been too much time to leave on the clock.

It's better to run the clock down to where three plays and a field goal would use up the rest of the clock (or almost all of it).

Kinda nasty on your part. I wasn't insinuating he went for the wrong man, it was just that it is unusual for two to be open down field like they were. As it turned out, the game was won and that is all that mattered. It was just an observation, don't blow your hemoroid over it.

Someday are we going to get the option of a TV shot with the entire secondary showing?

With only :16 seconds left, and especially after the false start, we just ran Barber up the middle twice and an incomplete pass to Fasano.

If we would have had a little more time we could have thrown an out pattern or attempted to pick up a first down is some way to get closer.

As it was we didn't have enough time to try to move it closer or take a shot at the EZ.

BTW, I wonder why the Gints didn't call timeout to give themselves more time after the FG.

Parcells said they were planning to take a shot at the TD but the false start changed their thinking. I would have liked a short FG too but I didn't want them to take too big of a chance right there.

If you rewatch the second angle, the defender cheats up and Flo definitely flinches. He was just savvy enough to look over at Romo and pretend he was communicating. I thought it was crap initially, but I'm positive he flinched, and it was the right call.

You are absolutely right
